She continued on to explain that she believes that Pierce College was voted the best place to work by the Daily News readers because there has been more than its academic development over the past decade.

“We work on a beautiful campus; it’s always changing and growing,” she said. “We’ve had a complete renaissance of our buildings which are now beautiful, and there are so many interesting people here—so many experts.” Clay even painted a picture of one event in which the Pierce College women’s soccer team made her feel that this campus is certainly home for her and makes it a fun place to work after The Pit flooded once and “it became this beautiful lake.”
