12 P.I.F.F. 2018
With so many different defintions to the term “woke” and the way that the media has twisted it to turn it into some type of indifferent joke, it’s hard to determine sometimes which type of awakening we’re searching for when someone tells us, “stay woke”. In this instance, we’ll refer to it as a whole in general and simply say that here at P.I.F.F. Magazine, we’d like you to stay woke and open your eyes to the puppet-show and masquerade that’s going on around you... some people will have their eyes opened and use their knowledge for progression and change; others will do nothing with it but complain about the way the system is so flawed; yet they are the same ones contributing to the flawed system because they choose to do nothing... if we feed you here at P.I.F.F., will you eat and let it stick to your ribs? Been a minute I know... five years to be exact. Where have we been? What happened? All of that will be explained, but I won’t give it all away in our first
relaunch issue, so you’ll have to stick with us. For first-timers, P.I.F.F. Magazine is an entertainment mag that highlights aspiring talent on their serious grind in the underground. We feature models, music artists, comedians, athletes, producers, dancers, graphic artists, entrepreneurs, etc. And yes, we will always have some type of eyecandy model on our covers because let’s face it, it draws attention and sometimes controversy which leads to more attention and regardless of how it gets you there, you shall find your way into the magazine where my true woke people know that the cover model and image was simply our way of saying, “we’re a sexy magazine.” Because knowledge is sexy. Positivity is sexy. And regardless of how we do it, it will always be done classy and tastefully. Some people say, “what about the kids?” Well, I’m sorry, P.I.F.F. is not a kids magazine and if they’re seeing it, that’s the parent’s job to be monitoring their children’s social media lives. This issue: our cover feature is Taylor Gee, one of the nicest
artists coming out of Anchorage, Alaska. We also chopped it up real quick with Flamez La Candela holding it down for New York. Find out what Musicoin is and why it could be changing the future of the music industry. Lebron James’ promise? What’s that all about? We got something to stop and make you think: how do you know what you know? Taj “Real Talk” Thomas is back to talk his sh** again! And Averie McKinney did her thing on the V.E.N.T. interview with Reese White. It’s all here in our 1st relaunch issue. Welcome us back. P.I.F.F. is definitely woke... -- Xavier

HOW DO “... the basis of much of our WE KNOW knowledge comes by way of agreement.” A “STAY WOKE” ANNOUNCEMENT WHAT WE KNOW? We know many things. AND HOW DO WE KNOW IT’S ANY GOOD?
P.I.F.F. POLITICS
Some things we do not have to question. We know our names, we know where we live. We know it gets hot in the summer. We know we have to get up every day and go to work or school. These are things we know because either we were told or we have experienced them. We live much of our lives on the basis of societal “norms.” Things that are understood and agreed to be normal by society as a whole. We simply can’t question everything, so we have to take certain things to be true by agreement. We do not have the ability to base all our beliefs on personal experience, so the basis of much of our knowledge comes by way of agreement.
While it may be enough for one to believe they are gaining knowledge by reading posts from uncredible websites, another may realize that is far from an acceptable

source of credible knowledge. Some of us may be quick to accept what we see and hear around us as truth, but others may want to question these sources of knowledge. As a result, our methodology as a society can differ greatly, and several different methods can be used to find out what we know and if what we know really is any good.

others in the same environment do not end up a statistic of the prison system? The methods we use will tell us as little or as much as we want to know. Using different methods of inquiry will also tell us a little or a lot about classes of people or even individuals. The inductive method of inquiry moves toward the general rather than the particulars. Inductive reasoning could reveal patterns that tell us African-American and Latino males are more likely to be arrested than whites, from which you can conclude that minority populations are more likely to be incarcerated. Using the method of inductive reasoning reveals patterns such as this, but it does not tell us why these patterns exist. By using deductive reasoning, we would be able to test these patterns and the resulting theories to see if they hold true, why they hold true and for what individuals within these general groups we have established do they hold true. Using both of these methods can provide us with an in-depth understanding of why social issues exist, for whom they exist and what we need to do to for those that fall prey to these statistics. We can tell who is being influenced by what goes on around them and why
P.I.F.F. POLITICS they are becoming products of the environment they live in. We can also reveal how certain individuals exercise their free choice, or agency, not to simply become one of the statistics. There are many ways and methods of accumulating what we “know.” However, what methods we use depend on how satisfied we are with the sources we are using to obtain what we know, our knowledge. For some, following the “status quo,” maintaining traditional ways of thought and practicing societal norms may be enough. However, some of us want to know more, we want to know how to go about finding out more about problems that exist in society and we want to find the root of the problem so that we can hopefully help to find a solution. What would ever change if we never stepped out of the realm of societal norms and didn’t question things simply because other people believed them to be true? There are different levels of how we know what we know. Depending how much we really want to know can determine if what we know is really any good.

8 TIPS FOR MODELS COMING TO A PHOTOSHOOT
I
am always on the lookout for talent – whether you’re a new and promising model or an established professional, you might be what I’m looking for. Modelmayhem.com is a great site because its search feature lets you look for models based on experience and location, as well as other criteria. You probably already have an account there – if you don’t, one of the tips for models is get one. I have a photographer’s account there that I use all the time. Coming to your first photoshoot with a new photographer can be intimidating. It’s even harder if you’re only just starting your modeling career. Here are eight tips from me, an established professional photographer, on how you can ace that first photoshoot.
Main Tips for Models
Before coming to the photoshoot, provide the photographer with your

measurements and digitals (shots on white background from all angles). Get relaxed and get in the mood to model. Sometimes I use tempo music at the shoot. Try not to drink or have a heavy meal before the shoot – it
can make you groggy, and that’s the last thing a model needs. Practice your poses. Get a friend to take pictures with a phone – that gives you two kinds of feedback, the photos and your friend’s comments.
Some More Tips for Models
Sometimes even the old trick of practicing in front of a mirror can be a great way of getting your poses down perfect. That is really the hardest part of modeling – being able to pose and pretend and mimic. It takes a lot of practice and a lot of patience. In the end that practice will make perfect. Search for shots and poses online or in magazines. See and study what other models do. Sometimes I even send my models poses before the shoot begins so they will know exactly what I need. Get confident. A huge part of modeling is simply feeling great in your own skin. It takes time, but it will make
you a great model. Talk to your photographer. I know that when I meet models for the first time, I always take time to talk to them and get to know them a little. Talking sets up trust between the photographer and the model. Feel free to make your own suggestions to the photographer, and since he’s the one calling the shots, it’s easier for a model to get her idea heard. Take good care of yourself and your appearance. Make sure your skin is clear and moisturized. If you do makeup yourself pluck or wax your eyebrows. Get your make-up just right. Or if you’re working with ISA AYDIN Commercial Product Photography, most probably we will take [care] of your makeup and hair ourselves. Just sit and relax. That’s what modeling is all about. IIf you follow these eight tips for models, you will do just fine. Just remember to keep calm and keep modeling!

She’s on her way to drawing heat to Anchorage, Alaska and she’s one of the most influential and representative voices of the Anchorage underground hip hop market. Taylor Gee has been deemed Best Female Vocalist, Best Female Rapper, and Rookie of the Year by the Alaska Hip Hop Awards. Signed to Unbreakable Music Group in 2015, she’s been heavy on-grind ever since and has opened up for major acts such as Jon B, J Holiday, Keyshia Cole, and 2 Chainz. Now, with the release of her EP titled ‘TKOVR’, she’s ready to become the face of female hiphop in Alaska and worldwide; even if it means by Hostile Takeover! PIFF: I see you heavy on your grind right now, so I wanted to ask you what’s the market like out there in Alaska? TG: I like to think of Anchorage where I live as a Northern, smaller version of Seattle. We have everything here, it’s just smaller scale, but a lot of stuff goes on here. We have a good market for local music because we’re all about supporting local music here. How long you been singing and writing and stuff? Since December 2014. I could always sing… I was singing in my car seat when I was young and then in high school, I thought ‘why don’t I do something with this?’ Oh, so you kinda new at this? As far as like recording, yea... but, I’ve been singing ever since I could talk. And has it always been your dream to go big with it? Yeah, definitely.
46 P.I.F.F. 2018
Let’s talk about projects. Is ‘TKOVR’ your actual EP? Have you done stuff before this? I’ve done some tracks before, but this is my first official project.
Where do you get your inspiration from? Are you writing this based off certain people; situations you went through; or is it just -I get inspiration from very simple things. For the ‘G2G’ track, I was sitting in Midas getting my oil changed and this cute lightskinned dude walked in and he stared at me for like three seconds and it was just like this awkward eye contact and I just thought, “yea, that’s a track right there!” That’s crazy... so, it really can just come from anywhere.... and what’s the next step for Taylor Gee now? Getting this mixtape out, getting some videos done, and working towards going out of state. To begin the takeover… Right. What made you finally decide on naming your project ‘TKOVR’? I chose ‘TKOVR’ from Takeover, which is my movement. I was inspired by this because it’s a daily reminder that we have all control over our destinies whether that being our job, our dreams; if you want it, take over it. (Continued on page 50)

Well, cops just don’t give a f*@k. Unless you protest it. Like the NFL. Then everyone gives a damn, because they think the players are protesting the flag. Like Rosa Parks protested the bus. (Lol at anyone who believes that to be the truth.) Or is everyone STILL protesting police injustice? An ongoing fight, that’s been continuous through decades? You might not agree with Colin Kaepernick, but you can’t be ignorant and say he is disrespecting the troops, or our country, or our veterans, or even our President, (as much as Trump disrespects everyone else)
This country is based on freedom & founded on liberty. It’s our first constitutional right, even over our right to our fancy guns. The fact that this new Trump administration and many other people believe that the NFL players (and other people) have no right to protest is a disgrace to America and its principles.... And the Statue of Liberty is crying right now..... And RIP Senator John McCain. (Trump didn’t like him either. Figures.) And that’s Real Talk.
When in fact, The United States of America was founded on protest. Did everybody forget about Prohibition? The Vietnam War? The Draft? I know a lot of white people tell black people to forget slavery, so we won’t even add that to the list. But segregation & Jim Crow laws? Do we have to forget about those too?

PIFF: What inspired you to start making music?
FLAMEZ: Honestly, I have two reasons... First, it was losing my father... I was 6. Since he lived by the code, he died by it... So, I dealt with that raw emotion by putting it on paper. I wrote a lot of poetry and zoned in the dark listening to music. I was healing... Secondly, my birth name is Melody. I come from a very musical family. and still come back and land smoothly in the top spot at the throne she deserves and has put the work in to prove it. In a generation of a time where artists focus more on singles than making a good album and where 85% of emerging artists become one hit wonders, Honey provides a classic album with her August 3 release of ‘Wildfire’ (2018) , an 11 track follow up to ‘the Gift Rap’ and prior releases such as ‘‘Like A Drug’, ‘Thug Life’, ‘90’s Gold’.
1.) Woke Up Feelin - the album
opens up just right with a song that gives us a glimpse of the personal journey that Honey’s overcome over the past 3 years and where she stands now in her recent transition from aspiring artist first hitting the scene in 2013 to now becoming an underground legend who kept the daily social media streams trending even months before announcing her return. It is a track that touches your heart but is easy on the ears and gives you an intimate look

3.) Losin My Shxt - On

4.) Situationship - Listening to
Situationship, you can feel the pain in which the song was derived from... A song about a woman stuck inside a relationship who just wants to be set free. It comes at the perfect time in the EP as it follows Losin My Shxt which further solidifies the depth of the domestic abuse; but precedes Missed Calls, a song about sending that ass to the block list!!
5.) Missed Calls - Missed Calls
is one of my favorite songs on the album. I love the way she plays with the different sounds and ranges as well as the studio effects she throws on her background vocals. It is a track that plays like candy to your ears and puts you in the setting of Drake’s ‘Marvin’s Room’
6.) Kingdom Come - If Taylor
Gee ever needed an example of potential stardom and future legacy, she proves it on Kingdom Come which is one of the strongest songs I’ve heard in a long time. It is full of so much emotion but it comes off in a subtle way that leaves you no choice but to embrace the message laid within the peaceful melodies. It is a song about

7.) Woman - Taylor Gee keeps you guessing once again and goes completely left field with it as she comes on a Diva stance with Woman; a motivational song in which she uplifts her gender in a strong and bold way. She touches the track with a Diana Rosstype sound that places you in the mental space of the movie ‘Dreamgirls’. Again, proving she is legend in the making.
8.) Naughty - She gets playful
and kinky on her track, ‘Naughty’ an upbeat and adult track about getting right in the bedroom... A definite mood setter to get the magic sparking and a nice surprise at the end where she comes with an unexpected twist towards the third verse...

That’s true. So, how long have you been active with music? I really took it serious back in 2014. I could always rap, but I was like “Damn, let me try this music thing again.” I couldn’t shake music off for some reason. Everything I do, music played some type of part in it. Why you think no one would’ve felt you or your lyrics? It’s a different wave now. You don’t have to have lyrics nowadays and can get wild love. It’s madd easy to get over on some bullsh*t, but I guess

So, people were like “Yo, you sound like animal!” but I would laugh during sessions and wild out while recording. They would be like “Yo, Reese is wildin on this!” The Rott I can tell that you are a very serious part also came from the fact I feel writer and really try to leave a mark. like the Rottweiler itself is the most Who influenced you in hip hop? When did RottWildin come about and what is it?
‘Let Me Talk For A Minute’ caught a lot of people’s attention. I don’t even know how I came up with it. (LAUGHS). I was going through some beats and the homey Gambitt have a mean collection of work. So, I was

I could have fun with this!” and that’s how that happened. ‘Been A Minute’ came from the idea of my homey Ray-Gun and he came up with the idea. I never thought about spitting over P’s ‘Keep It Thoro’, but I wasn’t going to half step either. What’s holding you back? (Laughs) Well, right now I’m in school, too. I’m a college student. That’s why I haven’t been able to make moves the way I want to. I always laugh at the fact how I got back into the music. I was dropping mixtapes as a way to tell people to leave me alone about school. Like they were throwing my focus off. I thought like “Yo, I’m’a drop these mixtapes so they can have something to do besides bother me.” It worked for a while and then they started bothering me about the music. So, I guess that backfired (Laughs), but I’m currently in school and I’m
almost done. I can see the finish line (if they don’t move it back away from me.......again). I better have a graduation invite too and are you coming to Dallas? I got you, slime! Yea, I’m coming to Dallas one of these days. I wasn’t planning on coming, because I heard they have snakes bigger than Oprah’s wallet. I get everything is bigger in Texas for real. WHAT IS MUSICOIN?
The analytical breakdown and the simple breakdown of the next biggest change in the music industry INFORMATION & IMAGES OWNED BY MUSICOIN & MUSICOIN.ORG FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY

The Technology Musicoin uses the blockchain to power a decentralized, peerto-peer, platform. Similar to Bitcoin or Ethereum, our implementation of the blockchain allows us to host music available to everyone and transactions that are transparent and secure. It also means that there are no third-parties involved and musicians get 100% of the revenue from their streams. Universal Basic Income UBI is an economic model to ensure each contributor to the platform is fairly rewarded in proportion to their contribution. In Musicoin’s context, a UBI pool is created to secure musicians’ income from PPP on the platform, at a fixed rate that is fair, uninfluenced by market forces and higher than that of any other competing streaming platforms. This will boost the influx of content from musicians as well as make

streaming music free for listeners, therby ensuring deeper penetration of Musicoin into the streaming market. Unlike other streaming platforms, users on the Musicoin platform will be able to stream songs for free and without ads. Free Streaming & Fair Compensation You’re probably wondering how our platform is both free for listeners, and at the same time pays musicians better than any streaming service currently available. They accomplish this by leveraging the blockchain to remove intermediaries and implementing a model called Universal Basic Income (UBI) that supports both listeners and musicians.
SEPTEMBER 77
THIS INFORMATION IS OWNED BY MUSICOIN & MUSICOIN.ORG FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY We designed a global currency (MUSIC) to support the global trade surrounding music and music-related businesses. The currency is not issued by a single entity, but by a network of computers through a process known as mining. This system has been tested and proved by cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash and others. Mining involves many computers around the globe running a complex computer algorithm, with the entire network collaborating to generate a currency which can’t be counterfeited, can’t be “double spent” and can’t be manipulated or otherwise damaged through negligence or malicious intent.
The Currency
Supporting Musicians By listening to musicians on the Musicoin platform, you can feel good knowing that your streams pay musicians more than any other streaming platform. You can also directly “tip” MUSIC to your favorite musicians and directly support appreciation for the music they create. On top of that, we are continually adding more features such as paid downloads and merchandising that will allow listeners to better interact with and help their favorite musicians.

Sharism
IMAGES OWNED BY MUSICOIN & MUSICOIN.ORG FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY
The concept of sharism, coined by Isaac Mao the Chief Architect of the Musicoin blockchain, is a revolutionary philosophy that incorporates wisdom from the studies of Epistemology and Axiology. It emphasizes the importance of sharing knowledge and value within a community to create a positive social impact. In other words, everyone is valued and is necessary to Musicoin, the miners, the listeners, the developers, the outisde providers and of course the musicians. Smart Contracts Our smart contracts mean that each stream operates on a Pay-Per-Play (PPP) basis. Every time a song is streamed, MUSIC is automatically transferred to the musician or all parties of a group.

There are other digital currencies aimed at changing the industry, but Musicoin differs from them in many ways. Unlike other currencies that run upon multiple processes, Musicoin runs its own blockchain, making it faster and more equipped to reach big audiences. It cuts the middleman out and ensures artists get paid 100% revenue generated from streams on the Musicoin platform; paying higher yields than competitors such as Spotify, iTunes, etc. Musicoin applies a Universal Basic Income (UBI) model where the Musicoin value is based on a system supported by investors known as miners. “They could be anyone with a computer and a modern graphics card.” (b) It is a global currency (MUSIC) that supports the global trade surrounding music and music-related businesses. This system will boost artist content and make music free for listeners; making Musicoin direct competitors with the top dogs. Musicoin’s smart contracts ensure each time an artist’s song is streamed, MUSIC (currency) is automatically sent to the artist and any other artists involved.
ers, Musicoin is about to transform the industry in the same way streaming eliminated CDs. If you’re an artist, you will benefit in joining Musicoin’s mission by receiving 100% of your stream revenue with no middle man. If you’re a fan, you’ll benefit from free streaming services as well as be able to directly connect with your favorite artist. And if you’re an investor, a miner that is, you can invest right now for pennies on the dollar into an industry that is about to explode and get a major return on investment before the window of opportunity closes. Right now, Musicoin is valued at less than a penny per coin. A year from now, those half-pennies could be worth millions. Who knows?
