Valentine’s Day 2019. It seems that every Valentine’s Day, we focus on romance and being boo’d up like Ella Mae. But, what about self-love? Do we even know what that is? I grew up without my parents and the loneliness of such an empty void led me to having a fear of being alone and seeking attention and love from anyone who would give it to me. It started with me acting out and cutting up in school and getting in trouble; which eventually led to me getting involved in the street life as I sought the attention in the neighborhood OG’s. As I grew up in this mentality, it also led me into several toxic relationships developed out of impulse, lust, desire, and desperation.
