Nationally Recognized Alumni Leadership And Dedication

The Advisor Award of Distinction, awarded for the first time in 2017, recognizes exceptional commitment to advising a fraternity chapter, Interfraternity Council or fraternity/sorority community. Each recipient demonstrates dedication to guiding and mentoring the fraternity members with whom they work and exemplifies the highest standards of character, leadership and interfraternalism, both personally and professionally. For his role in leading our chapter, David Shook was recognized with the Advisor Award of Distinction.

Dave has led the way for the Alpha Psi Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi to be fraternal leaders in their community. Dave sets himself apart through his unwavering dedication to the student experience. He spent countless hours not only working with the leadership of the Alpha Psi Chapter but also with the general membership, the parents and the university. Advising one of Pi Kappa Phi’s largest chapters in the country is no small task, but Dave does so in a way that positively impacts anyone who has had an interaction with Pi Kappa Phi at Indiana University. Additionally, he has volunteered for Pi Kappa Phi, serving on the alumni board, housing board and with the Foundation. Congratulations, David. Thank you, brother!

Oliver Sutter Steps Into Chapter Advisor Role

Please join Alpha Psi in welcoming chapter alumnus Oliver Sutter into the role of chapter advisor. Sutter was initiated in 2013, and as an undergraduate member, served in the roles of vice archon, archon and standards board chairman. He graduated from Indiana University in 2016.

Sutter joined Alpha Psi’s advisory board last year and is excited to be taking on a larger role with the chapter. Sutter shared, “Leaning on my experience as archon and vice archon, I feel I can make more of an impact working directly with the undergraduates in helping them shape the chapter to be the best it can be. Dave Shook set an unbelievably high bar for several roles with Alpha Psi. I hope to live up to those lofty expectations and cannot wait to start.”
