THE ∆ING March 2010
Gentlemen, As we ease closer to spring, I know we are all looking forward to warmer weather. Now halfway through the Spring Semester many of us are spread throughout the country on our Spring Break Trips. Some are finding warmer weather in Florida whereas some are enjoying the snowy slopes.
As we saw each other on campus, one of the most common phrases was, “I am SO tired!!” Also with this past week being our PUSH (Philanthropy) week, it just increased our stress and decreased our amount of sleep each night. However, we all prevailed and made ade it successfully to Spring Break. Just a heads up, we will be organizing a mass yard sale this summer. Alumni are more than welcome to bring stuff by for the sale. More details in the “Events” section of the newsletter. Also, the final payment date for Rose Ball is March 19th. Remembrance
I am sure every one of you remembers the all nighters and last minute cramming during the week of mid-terms. terms. This past week was our week of mid-terms terms and most of the student body experienced these.

PUSH Week 3/1-3/4 This past week was our PUSH week. We actually started on February 26th with an Empathy Dinner in which we invited three girls from each sorority. Throughout the dinner each person had a different disability and this made eating, drinking, and communication among each other very difficult. Picture on the Left.
Picture on the right is from Pie a Pi Kapp. This is one of our more popular events on campus. People pay one dollar to hit us in the face with whip cream. This year we had to do it in the KUC, due to weather, and got whip cream everywhere which made the MTSU staff not to happy with us. Synopsis of the week: Monday – Sign a Pi Kapp and Penny Wars Tuesday – Pull for Push and Penny Wars Wednesday – Pie a Pi Kapp and Penny Wars Thursday – Push Relay and Penny Wars With a week full of challenges, this lled ed to a great deal of competition being the different sororities. After all the money was counting, it was determined that the lovely ladies of Kappa Delta prevailed the week and were our winners. However, the really winners were PUSH America because in four days we raised a few dollars short of $800. This was an incredible effort by all to achieve this goal.

Fishing Tournament
We had the fishing tournament on February 27th and the turnout was moderate. If you remember that day, it was kind of chilly and windy. However, we did had a good time and Miss Brittany Polk won by catching an 8 inch bluegill bluegill.. On a funny note, I am a seasoned fishermen and my girlfriendd caught a bigger fish than me so for the rest of the weekend she reminded me about it. The picture is when we arrived at J. Percy Priest and due to the fact that I forgot to change the batteries in my camera it was one of the few pictures taken that day. Just under three weeks until Rose Ball and look forward to seeing many of you there. Right now we might even be getting limousines limousines,, provided my Josh Goldberg’s parents, for transportation from his house to the hotel and back. This should be an amazi amazing time!
Fraternally yours, Brother Barrett Ratliff ∆ Ι # 176
