A fighting chance

Now that President Rodrigo Duterte has officially assumed office, the countdown begins on his promise to rid the country of crime, drugs, and corruption. During the campaign period, candidate Duterte had consistently given himself a deadline of just three to six months to deliver on this promise, and while this has been met with some incredulity, those who know him know that he is up for the challenge. After all, he cleaned up Davao City in a few years’ time as city mayor, turning it from being a “killing field” in the 1980s due to the violent activities of the communist New People’s Army (NPA) and the anti-communist Alsa Masa (literally “masses arise”) into a peaceful and progressive city that is the envy of the entire country. What he has done in Davao City he intends to do for rest of the Philippines. How will he do it? Duterte has given hints in his many speeches during the campaign. Corruption Duterte has said he will not tolerate corruption in any form and at any level in government. In his first few months as President, he will make an example of government officials and workers who still dare to commit graft and corruption so that no one else will follow what they have done. In local parlance, it’s called

sasampolan — a word with no direct translation (except for the root word “example”) but has, in this context, very threatening undertones. Duterte said will also set up only one system for the securing of permits and other documents from government, simplified so that there will be no room for shady deals. This will be implemented from the top to the bottom levels, from the President’s office to the lowest ranks of government offices. He will also institute strict deadlines on the release of these permits and documents, and government workers who miss the deadline will be made answerable. This is what he has done in Davao City and has been effective in forcing government employees to work really, really hard for the people. Recently, Duterte has also said he will set up telephone hotlines through which any citizen can report on any corrupt dealings in government. In his last flagraising ceremony with Davao City Hall employees on June 27, Duterte said — perhaps jokingly, but then again he could be serious — that he will promote to head of office any worker who reports on a corrupt superior. Drugs To minimize illegal drugs, Duterte intends to go directly to the source: the New Bilibid

Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa. In a campaign rally in Angeles City last April, Duterte said a large percentage of the drugs circulating in the country are controlled by drug lords who are detained in the NBP. “The police arrest these drug lords but if they are convicted and imprisoned, what do they do? They cook shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) inside (the NBP),” he said. He also said the detained drug lords still manage to control the illegal drug industry in the country because they have smuggled mobile phones and other communication tools inside the NBP. Government has been unable to control the activities of drug lords, who have virtually taken control of the NBP. Duterte also pointed out that recent raids in the NBP have yielded drugs, high-powered firearms, expensive wristwatches, and even jacuzzis. He said these are being used by drug lords in cahoots with prison guards who are paid to look the other way. He joked that if he became President, he would order fire trucks to douse the NBP not with water but with gasoline and then burn the entire facility. Duterte has also said he will utilize the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in the fight against drugs. To do this he will have Congress declare the drug problem a crisis and give him emergency powers, with which he will then order the police and military to track down drug lords and drug pushers. The standing order will be to kill anyone who

violently resists arrest, and based on the Davao experience, he is deadly serious about that. Crime Duterte said he will basically do the same thing with all other forms of crime, using the “iron first” approach that arguably won him the presidency to finally minimize the rising criminality in the country. He has also openly called for the reinstitution of the death penalty, something that resonated with the voters who have been fed up with the almost daily news reports on rape, murder, daring daylight robberies, and a host of other crimes. And to make sure he has the police on his side, Duterte has also promised to double their salary, a benefit that he says will keep them away from “traditional” activities like extortion and even kidnapping for ransom. He says the current salary is so low that some police officers resort to crimes to earn extra income. It remains to be seen if these steps will be enough to bring down corruption, drugs, and crime in three to six months, but the people are pinning their hopes on the maverick, foul-mouthed new President to give them a better life. All they are asking for, after all, is a fighting chance. Anti-immigrant sentiments and the Brexit result The UK has voted to leave the European Union and the international markets are reeling. On one day the markets lost in excess of two trillion dollars. Prime Minister David Cameron resigned and the government in the UK is in disarray. The wisdom of holding the vote will be debated for years to come, but what about the motivation behind it? Why did the population vote by a slim margin to leave the European Union? Since Friday last week, a number of articles have been written to explain the reasons behind the vote. Are they, as some explained, economically motivated, anti-immigrant or a combination of the two? In his article “Brexit isn’t about economics. It’s about xenophobia,” Vox writer Zack Beauchamp explains that antiimmigration is the real driving force behind the leave vote. Before the creation of the European Union in 1993 the net migration to the UK was less than 100,000 annually. But this

number has changed drastically with the foreign-born population of the country changing from 3.8 million in 1993 to 8.3 million by 2014. The European Union played a major part in this increase, because its rules “restrict the ability of member states to bar migration from other EU member states.” Immigration from other European countries, such as Poland, Spain, Italy, and Portugal started to supplant traditional source countries such as India and Pakistan. Poland, is now the second-largest source of immigrants to the UK, behind only India. One consequence of the change in immigration was a very public backlash led by the far right wing UK Independence Party (UKIP) led by a Donald Trump-like populist named Nigel Farage to “leave” the EU. The party started as a fringe party in the early 1990s but in the past 10 years its poll numbers have soared: it got four million votes in the 2015 general elections.

Their platform leading up to the referendum was “Believe in Britain” and they have focused primarily on the threat presented by all immigrants, inside and out of the EU. Muslims are targeted for their religious beliefs. “There is an especial problem with some of the people who’ve come here and who are of the Muslim religion who don’t want to become part of our culture,” Farage said in 2015. “People do see a fifth column living within our country, who hate us and want to kill us.” But the UKIP has also vilified immigrants particularly those from Eastern Europe in the same way Trump has been treating Mexicans, as rapists and criminals and the always-familiar accusation, “they are taking our jobs.” The leaders Nigel Farage and former London Mayor Boris Johnson want to create a wall around the UK similar to Donald Trump’s proposed wall on the Mexican border. They promote UK interests to the exclusion of all others. Xenophobia has

won the day, or at least the vote. “The political leverage generated by UKIP and its successful construction of a narrative that blames deteriorating living standards on an ‘open door’ immigration policy — which, it asserts, is a condition of continuing EU membership — motivated Cameron to call the referendum,” Ed Rooksby, a researcher at Oxford, writes in Jacobin. ‘They have … transformed the referendum into a proxy plebiscite on immigration.’” Before readers dismiss the Brexit vote as a UK issue or Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim, anti-Mexican rhetoric as American, they should take a long look at our Canadian past and present. In the late 1930s, Prime Minister MacKenzieKing opposed the admission of European Jews because they were somehow different. Following the 1995 defeat of the Quebec provincial referendum See MIKE p6

JULY 1 - 15, 2016

It’s a mad mad world I contemplated writing about the upcoming summer plans for the Burgos brood. What craziness will we get into this year? But instead, I chose to write about the many atrocities I have witnessed as of late. It pains me to write about tragedy. It makes me tremendously sad to write about senseless acts of violence. At times, I want to scream at the top of lungs out of anger. Other times, I want to shake the heads of these people who commit such unspeakable acts. Shooting sprees, massacres – whatever you want to call them – are violence at its most pure and gruesome form. If you are like me, I am not surprised anymore when I hear about gunmen loose in a city killing handfuls of innocent people. How sad is it that we as a society are no longer surprised when something like this happens? I’ve asked myself if I’ve become blind or numb when things like this happen. Does that make me a bad person? I deliberately stayed quiet on social media after Orlando, the largest massacre by a single person in America’s history. I don’t need to tell you what happened, you all know. We simply refer to it as “Orlando.” After this incident, I quickly realized that I was not numb, nor was I blind. I was sad – incredibly sad. How do you express sadness in words? You see, that morning, we were getting ready to walk in Nanaimo’s inaugural Pride Parade. Then my wife tells me about what happened. Orlando is known as a tourist mecca – Disneyworld, Universal Studios, and countless of other

tourist traps. The only bad thing I ever hear about Orlando is that it makes families poor from the enormous costs of visiting there. Now, unfortunately, Orlando is known for an act of violence that was laced with racism and homophobia. I was sad. As we left for the Pride Parade, dressed in our best colourful rainbow gear, I stil couldn’t help but think of all the families and friends of those killed in Orlando. As we gathered in the parade staging area, I could hear people chatting about what unfolded in Florida. Shock would be the best word to describe everyone’s emotion. Once the parade began, the cheers were deafening. People lined the streets waving their pride flags, music blaring and smiles all around. Yet, in the back of our minds, our thoughts were with the people of Orlando. Closer to home, as you might know, my family recently completed a lengthy Human Rights process where we sought proper education and training for staff and students, and the development of policies and guidelines in the River East Transcona School Division. Thankfully, we completed the process, getting what we fought for, for so long: equality and a safe place for transgender and gender non-conforming students and staff. We thought that all school divisions would follow suit, as now, the Manitoba Human Rights Commission has made it clear that the rights of all individuals must be respected. To my dismay, Hanover School Division has taken a step back in

Dale, Elizabeth and the Burgos brood at Nanaimo’s inaugural Pride Parade, June12, 2016 civilization and metaphorically spit in the face of all advances the LGBTQ+ community has made these past years. School Trustees who were voted in, and who did not spend years as educators in the classroom, decided that they knew best. They decided that the safety and well-being of all children are not a priority. The lack of caring was evident when schools trustees were quoted using terms like “lifestyle.” Nobody chooses to be gay, lesbian or transgender. They are born that way. It’s very simple. Now, let’s be adults and

put our differences aside. Let’s forget about religion and focus on our kids – our future. No one should be ashamed or scared to share with their friends, teachers or parents who they are. It should be applauded and accepted, and most importantly, taught. You see, the ignorance or apparent lack of caring comes down to not understanding what the other person has or is living through. If you have students and families begging for further education in an education setting, what harm would there be in doing so? Other school divisions do it, so

I ask you Hanover, why not you? I am proud to have a transgender daughter and a gay son. Guess what, God still loves me. I haven’t been hit with lightning. In fact, I feel more loved now, than ever before. We must embrace everyone’s individuality and accept our differences. We must learn from each other. Listen to your kids, your students or your friends – they’ve got something important to tell you. Dale is the director of communications for a school district in BC and continues to write articles from afar.

Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again” should read “Make America White Again.” In the UK many voters are now waking up to the new reality. They are expressing voter remorse and over three million have already signed a petition to quash the vote but it may be too late. The reality is that the hate of persons perceived as different is not new or unique to the UK, the US or even Canada. Xenophobia exists in differing degrees in all countries and increases or decreases based on other pressures. At least the Philippine can look with pride on President Manuel Quezon who accepted 100 Jewish families when the countries of the world closed their doors or newly elected

President Rody Duterte, who said he is not like Donald Trump, “I am not a racist.” The message for the reader is to be attentive and open-minded when issues of immigration come up. Rather than condemning Canadian efforts to bring in Syrian refugees, for example, we should understand that charity and consideration should be shown to all. They are not different from us. Parti Quebecois leader Jacques Parizeau put the blame on “money and ethnic votes.” He distinguished between the “nous” (“us,” the good guys) and “them” newcomers to Canada (the bad guys). This is not so far removed from Farage or Trump of today. How many times have radio listeners to CJOB heard “they are taking our jobs away.” The “they” are newcomers, immigrants, Jews in the 1990s, Muslims of today, Syrian refugees etc. Donald

Adjustable steel columns

Adjustable steel columns, also known as telescopic steel columns, beam jacks and screw jacks, are hollow steel members designed to provide structural reinforcement or support. A threaded mechanism is attached that is used to adjust the height of the post according to the appropriate elevation. They are usually installed in basements as the structural members underneath the main floor carry the most weight. In some parts of Canada and USA, adjustable steel columns are also called lally columns, although this term normally pertains to columns that are filled with concrete and non-adjustable. They are manufactured as single-piece unit, or as multi-part assemblies also known as telescopic steel

columns. In order to function properly, adjustable steel columns must: • have diameter of 75 mm (three inches) or greater. As per 2012 International Residential Code (IRC), Section R407.3, columns (including adjustable steel columns) “shall not be less than three-inch diameter standard pipe.” Although columns smaller than 75 mm contravene the IRC, they are not necessarily substandard or defective. A 100 mm-diameter column is considered defective if it buckles when the load is exceeded; whereas a 2½-inch column may be sufficient to support the load it is intended to carry. Structural engineers must be consulted to confirm whether the adjustable

steel posts are of sufficient diameter and length. • be protected by rustinhibitive paint. According to IRC Section R407.2: “All surfaces (inside and outside) of steel columns shall be given a shop coat of rust-inhibitive paint, except for corrosion-resistant steel and steel treated with coatings to provide corrosion resistance.” It is hard to identify if the paint applied is rustinhibitive. However, visible rusts indicate absence of protective coating and therefore constitute a probable defect. Rust-inhibitive paint may not be needed in arid environments where rust is not as much of a concern. • be straight. The recommended maximum lateral deflection between the bottom and top of the post should not exceed 25 mm. However, tolerable lateral deflection is affected by several factors, such as the diameter and length of the column. The column must also not bend at its mid-point. Excessive deflection

is an indication that the column cannot bear the overlying load of the house structure. There must be no cracks in upstairs walls. Such a condition could be a sign of a column failure. • be mechanically connected both to the floor below and beam above to provide additional resistance against lateral deflection. However, we cannot

confirm whether such connections exist if they are covered by concrete and ceiling materials. • be properly tightened. No more than three inches of the screw thread should be exposed. Travel & hotel feng shui Just because you’re on the road, traveling for business or headed off for a long-awaited vacation doesn’t mean you have to give up on your feng shui. If you’re used to living in a comfortable, clean and organized environment that has good feng shui, you’ll want to stay in hotel room that feels like your feng shui home. But how do you do that? Feng shui isn’t a difficult concept to use when you’re traveling and staying in hotel rooms. Plus, by using a little feng shui while you’re on the road, you can keep yourself energized and refreshed. That’s because we’re often tired when traveling and that often comes from being in a different environment even when that environment is a luxury hotel. Making even some small feng shui changes when you’re traveling can make a difference in the quality of your travel and the quality of your energy and vitality. So take a few steps to ensure your travel and hotel room all have good feng shui for safe, successful travels. Before you leave Packing for your trip can often be frustrating and worrisome. How many pairs of shoes should you take? Will I need an umbrella? Before departing, think about your energy, your rest and relaxation, too. While you’re packing consider adding a few extra items to your suitcase: Sheet spray. Giving the hotel sheets a spritz of lavender before bed helps to clear the room and pampers you, too. You can also use it to freshen the scent in your hotel room. A candle. Add some fire and zest to your hotel room by packing a travel candle. It’ll perk up your

hotel room with its fire chi and if it’s scented, make your room smell fresh and inviting. The fire energy of the candle will also help spark friendly conversations and excellent social energy during your travels. A bluetooth speaker or small portable speakers are a way to introduce some calming and relaxing music to help soothe jangled nerves after a long day of traveling. Night-light. Waking in the night to a strange room can find you bumping into walls. Bring a simple red or pink night-light (red light won’t wake you up) to help you find your way. It will not be as disturbing to your sleep as a white night-light is. Earplugs. Sometimes other hotel guests can be noisy and prevent you from sleeping soundly. Always bring earplugs to help you rest more fully. Dollar bills. Housekeepers make up our beds, bring us fresh towels and keep our rooms tidy. Show your appreciation by leaving $2-$3 a day with a sweet note of gratitude. They’ll often leave you chocolates or other little surprises for your thoughtfulness. Your hotel represents you while you’re away. A small kindness not only creates a good deed, you’ll also ensure that the housekeeper working on your room will be carrying a positive thought of you – and that always lifts the room’s energy and your own as well. Pretty silk plant or flowers. Adding a touch of greenery to your room makes it feel alive and adds a homey touch. Many hotel rooms can seem a bit sterile. A small bud vase with a flower or small green plant is lightweight and adds a living touch to a

lifeless hotel room. Conch or cowrie shell. Conch and cowrie shells are often thought of as the “travelers shell.” When displayed at home, they promote travel. But while away from home, a conch or cowrie shell offers offer the traveler protection on the trip, and they symbolize good fortune during travel, and are especially good for business travelers as they represent excellent business luck. Lucky and protective talismans. Carry some small charms and items you enjoy to bring good fortune and protective chi to you and your room while traveling. Even tying your suitcase handles with red ribbon is effective! Once you arrive When checking in, always ask for a room with a pretty view if possible. Most hotels will try to accommodate your request – and having a pretty view is wonderful feng shui. Look at the room carefully once you arrive. Check to be sure you’re not next to an ice machine, a busy doorway or elevators. Also, make sure that the bed is in the “command” position and that you can see the doorway easily. If the bed isn’t oriented this way, or if it appears you’re in a noisy location, ask for another room. Next, use these tips to help you set your room up with good feng shui. Turn the lights on. Always turn lights on when you enter your new hotel room to bump up the chi in the room. Hotel rooms can be a bit yin; so turning on the lights will help give it a dose of yang energy. Go ahead and unpack. If there’s room, set up your suitcase on the suitcase rack in the closet so your room stays neat and uncluttered. Place your toiletries in the bathroom so that they’re ready for your use. If you’re staying a bit, go ahead and unpack your suitcase into the dresser drawers.

University of Santo Tomas Alumni Association of Manitoba (USTAAM) Now accepting applications for its 2016 USTAAM scholarship awards Applicants must:

• Be of Filipino descent; • Have a minimum average grade of 85%; • Have been accepted and will be entering first year in any post secondary schools in Manitoba in September 2016 Deadline: September 30, 2016

For other requirements and application form: Go to www.facebook.com/groups/ustaami/ or send email to: ustaami@gmail.com.

Stay organized. Some hotel rooms look like a travel or cosmetics bag exploded. Stay neat, orderly and organized and you’ll be able to find what you need and your room will remain enjoyable to be in. When your hotel room is a mess, your energy wanes. As a traveler, your energy is often depleted and a mess only makes it worse. Try to keep your room as neat as possible to help the room’s chi – and yours! Refresh your room’s energy. Upon arriving, open the curtains and if the weather permits, open the windows to allow fresh air into the room. Light your candle, turn on some relaxing music and add your flower or plant to your nightstand and plug in your red nightlight. Move or cover the clock radio if it has bright numbers so it won’t disturb your sleep. Cover mirrors. If your hotel room has a mirror opposite the bed, be sure to cover it before you go to sleep. Mirrors can disturb sleep and prevent rest, so cover them with a towel so you’ll sleep more soundly and be better rested. Close the bathroom door. Just as you would at home, be sure to keep the door to the bathroom closed at all times. Feng Shui Q&A Question: My entire living space is in the basement. I’ve had no income since 2011 due to some serious illness that has very recently resolved. I’m trying to find work and get my own place. I’ve got to get out of here to continue to improve my mental and physical health. How can I handle this? Answer: I’m so glad you

wrote – and happy to hear your health has improved. That’s great news, but it’s so important that you get out of that basement. It’s harmful for your progress. Living below ground is symbolically unhealthy and isn’t good for growth and change in your life. Add some plants and plenty of light in your living space (but no plants by the bedroom/bed area). Keep something moving, too, such as a pendulum clock or fan – this is helpful for keeping energy invigorated. If you leave the house, keep the lights on and keep some music playing. You want to keep your space as energized as possible. I also would like for you to have a view – something you don’t get in a basement. Why? I want you to “see” more and get perspective – and that means getting you visually out of the basement. Get a poster of a beautiful scene of valleys or the beach – put it in a window frame type picture frame and hang it on the wall in the east, if you can, so that you have a beautiful view in the part of your home that represents health, and this year, opportunity. Keep me posted on your progress!! Kathryn Weber is the publisher of the Red Lotus Letter Feng Shui E-zine and certified feng shui consultant in authentic Chinese feng shui. Little did I know that Canadian experience is all that matters!” Javate first worked in a group home in Toronto but after a visit to Winnipeg, she found two jobs here; a part-time job as assistant head of residence of Balmoral Hall School, an exclusive girls’ school and a full-time job as a staff member in Sara Riel, a residential mental health facility. Later she was hired as the Filipino Community Liaison Officer for the Winnipeg School Division and she’s still there today, with the new role of Intercultural Support worker . “It has always been my hope that our students achieve their full potential and be successful in their chosen field, the very reason why their parents chose to immigrate,” said Javate. Perla Javate was also recently named president of Pinays Manitoba Inc., a new women’s group and she is also involved with the Stronger Together Initiative, a joint undertaking to connect immigrants and refugees of all cultures. “Being a Canadian means accepting our multicultural heritage, accepting and respecting each other, and allowing

Perla Javate (seated, second from right) with her fellow Top 25 Canadian Immigrant awardees ourselves to be enriched by different cultures,” said Javate. “I am proud to be a FilipinoCanadian.” Newcomer Renan Orquiza, an engineer in Mississauga, Ontario, was the only other Filipino awardee at among the RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrants of 2016.

Winnipeg’s Dance Crew Showdown 2016 By Voltaire Ronatay Five talented dance crews put on a show that both organizers and audience described as awesome. That show was Winnipeg’s Dance Crew Showdown 2016, an urban/hip hop dance competition produced by 71 Lab Rats Events and Productions at the Essence Event Centre on Saturday, June 25. West Kay Dance Co., DMCI’s Finest, Hopskotch, ProdiGALS, and BigDeal Dancers were in the house and excited to show the crowd what urban and hip hop dancing is all about. These kids did not disappoint the eager crowd more than 300 packed into the Essence Event Centre. This was the initial staging of Winnipeg’s Dance Crew Showdown for 71 Lab Rats, together with MACE International Inc., WSAA Promotions and Disenyo Graphics.

Everyone felt the energy and passion of these young performers. One group, Hopskotch, had some technical problems with their music, but that did not stop these true professionals from performing. BigDeal dancers, a group of friends who had gone their separate ways, decided to come together for this competition. They brought the house down with their moves that combined dance steps from the past, as well as current dance crazes. It was a blast, and would make you want to dance with them too! But dancing was not the only entertainment. Singers Bea Jaime and James Cruzat performed for the appreciative crowd, and the whole event was ably managed by emcees, Geraldine Ong and Omar Benson. In the end though, it was DMCI’s Finest from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute that bagged the championship with a score of 96.66%. They took home

a cash prize worth $2,000 and bragging rights, as well. Kudos go to Carrie Maier, their dance director, for guiding these kids

and encouraging them to love the art of dance. ProdiGALS took the second spot and $1,000 cash, while

CRISTY...

Salacab, 2nd Runner Up

“Bakit, nasubaybayan ba ng producer niya si Sarah twenty four hours a day? Oh, tell that to the marines! At mayroon pa silang bagong pakulo ngayon. See CRISTY p20

Winnipeg resident and blogger Cristina Evangelista-Licup is known to her online friends and fellow bloggers as Momsie. “I started my blog to share my journey in Canada as an immigrant… until I learned about WelcomePack and wrote about it in one of my posts,” said Cristina. Through her blog, Cristina made new immigrants in Winnipeg aware of the availability of the complimentary WelcomePack – it’s a box filled with a variety of household items from some of Canada’s leading brands put together by partner companies in Ontario as a welcome treat for newly-landed immigrants. Cristina and her friends volunteered to coordinate registration and distribute the WelcomePack. And since it started in March 2016, more than 900 boxes have been were distributed.

Cristina needs your help Cristina is a mother of three. She works in a retail company and volunteers as an online settlement worker for English Online, Inc. She has no sibling in Canada. She tried to sponsor her parents, Domingo and Julia Evangelista, but the CIC returned her application. It did not make it into the first 5,000-application intake limit for that year. In May 2016, Cristina’s mother Julia, who was visiting Cristina and her family in Winnipeg, was rushed to the hospital after complaining of chest and abdominal pain. Mom Julia suffered a heart attack and had to immediately undergo Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). She is now recovering but still needs to undergo another PCI. Mom Julia is a tourist from the Philippines and she has no medical insurance benefit. “I am the eldest of their three children. We have limited resources in the Philippines.

Medical bills keep coming to my house and I don’t know what to do,” said Cristina who now faces thousands of dollars in hospital and medical fees. Lyn Enriquez, Cristina’s sister in the Philippines, recently set up a GoFundMe Page (www. gofundme.com/24smedg) to raise funds to help cover expenses for their mother’s needed treatment: PCI, cardiac rehabilitation program, follow up visits and other medical needs. So far, a total of $3,215 of the $40,000 amount needed has been raised. “Winnipeggers are very generous. There are people that I don’t even know who came forward to help. Some donated and some shared the link,” said Cristina. Friends of Cristina have organized a Bingo Social Fundraiser to be held Saturday, July 16, 2016, 6:00 p.m. at the Maples Community Centre, 434 Adsum Drive to provide support for Cristina and her family.

justice at constitutional amendment. Just let history take care of itself.

Before Martial Law, mayroon na noon.

advertisements at donations. Sinabing “LP can’t violate laws.” Ipinaalala na “no one is above the law.”

Marespeto sila at kalmado.
