Instructions are for toddler size; instructions for youth, adult woman and adult man sizes are in parentheses.

Finished Measurements (slippers fit snuggly) Foot Circumference: 6¼ (7½, 8¾, 10)" Foot Length: 5 (7, 9, 11)" Materials Yarn: Premier Dream • 24-216 Baby Fern (CA) – 1 ball • 24-201 White (CB) – 1 ounce • 24-235 Black (CC) – few yards • 24-228 Eggplant (CD) – few yards Crochet Hook: US H-8 (5mm) Extras: Yarn needle, polyester fiberfill, dimensional fabric paint Gauge 16 dc and 9 rnds = 4". Use any size hook necessary to obtain the specified gauge.

Special Stitch Sc2tog (single crochet 2 sts together): Draw up a lp in each of next 2 sts, yo and pull through all 3 lps on hook (1 st dec).

Slipper Foot: Beg at center of toe with CA, ch 4; join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 3 (counts as a dc here and throughout), 9 dc in ring; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3 – 10 dc.

Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch3 – 15 dc.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in each of next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3 – 20 dc.

Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in each of next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in each of next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3 – 25 dc.

Size Man only Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in each of next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in each of next 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3 – 40 dc.

All sizes Next Rnd: Ch 3, dc in each dc around; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3.

Repeat this rnd 0 (2, 5, 7) more times.

Next Row (RS): Ch 2, dc in each dc around; turn (do not join).

Repeat this row 5 (7, 8, 9) more times; fasten off at end of last row.

With WS facing, fold last row in half to form back of Slipper Foot. Join CA with a sl st in st at fold, and working through both thicknesses, sl st in each st to top of Slipper Foot, ch 1, sc evenly around foot opening; join with a sl st in first sc, ch 10; join with a sl st in first sc to form a loop; fasten off.

Weave in ends.

Eyeball: With CB, ch 2.

Rnd 1: 5 sc in second ch from hook; do not join, place a contrasting piece of yarn through last st and continue working in rounds, moving yarn up with each completed rnd – 5 sc.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around – 10 sc.

Rnd 3: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around – 15 sc.

Rnd 4: * Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around – 20 sc.

Size Woman/Man only Rnd 5: * Sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around – 25 sc.

Rnd 6: * Sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around – 30 sc.

All sizes Rnds 5-7 (7-11): Sc in each sc around.

Size Woman/Man only Rnd 12: * Sc in each of next 4 sc, sc2tog; rep from * around – 25 sc.

Rnd 13: * Sc in each of next 3 sc, sc2tog; rep from * around – 20 sc.

All sizes Rnd 8 (14): * Sc in each of next 2 sc, sc2tog; rep from * around – 15 sc. Stuff Eyeball firmly with polyester fiberfill.

Rnd 9 (15): * Sc in next sc, sc2tog; rep from * around – 10 sc. Stuff Eyeball again.

Rnd 10 (16): * Sc2tog; rep from * around; fasten off, leaving a 12" end – 5 sc. Thread yarn end through yarn needle and weave through remaining 5 sc; pull end tightly to close opening and knot securely. Bury end in Eyeball and trim end.

Pupil/Iris: With CC, ch 4; join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 3, 9 dc in ring; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3; fasten off – 10 dc.

Rnd 2: With RS facing, join CD with a sl st in any dc, ch 1, sc in same st as joining, 2 sc in next dc, * sc in next dc, 2 sc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in first sc – 15 sc; fasten off, leaving a 24" yarn end. Thread end through yarn needle and sew Pupil/Iris to Eyeball, centered over Rnds 1-3.

Eyelid: With CA, ch 4; join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 3, 11 dc in ring; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3 – 12 dc.

Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3 – 18 dc.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in each of next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3 – 24 dc.

Size Woman/Man only Rnd 4: Rep Rnd 3 – 32 dc.

All sizes Rnd 4 (5): Ch 3, dc in each dc around; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3; fasten off, leaving a 24" yarn end.

Thread end through yarn needle. Place Eyelid over Eyeball, slightly covering Pupil/Iris and sew in place.

Finishing Sew one completed Eyeball unit to top of each Slipper Foot.

To prevent slipping on bare floors when slippers are worn, apply dots of dimensional fabric paint to bottom of each Slipper Foot; let dry.
