Welcome! On behalf of Chester Business Club, it is my pleasure to welcome you all to this, our 2017 Charity Ball. This annual fundraising occasion has enabled the Club to support some extremely worthy charitable causes, not the least of which are tonight’s beneficiaries, Save The Family and Claire House Children’s Hospice and we are delighted to renew our support these exemplary organisations. Although the Club was not intending to be a ‘charitable’ organisation when we set up shop in 1987, over the intervening 30 years Club Members (and their guests) have helped us raise over £450,000 in support of local good causes. I am confident that you will continue that generosity of spirit when we come to tonight’s Prize Draw and Auction! We are extremely grateful to the many Sponsors and Prize Donors for their generosity - it is very much appreciated and valued. And I record my and the Club’s special thanks to Ed Feather and Hannah Kendrick for masterminding tonight’s event.

So, let the party begin - and have a really great evening!

Andy Foster Chairman, Chester Business Club
