Gracious God, you invite us to plant a garden of love, but we grow weeds of prejudice and hatred. You invite us to sow joy and gratitude, but we scatter seeds of greed and envy. † AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
Philippians 2:6-11
We believe in Jesus Christ, who, though he existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, assuming human likeness. And being found in appearance as
a human, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross. Therefore, God exalted him even more highly and gave him the name that is above every other name, so that at the name given to Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
† THE PEACE
One: The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Many: And also with you.

ANTHEM In Your Mercy, Lord Peter Pindar Stearns
In your mercy, Lord, you called me, taught my wayward heart and mind, else this world had still enthralled me, and to glory kept me blind. Lord, I did not freely choose you till by grace you set me free; for my heart would still refuse you had your love not chosen me. Now my heart sets none above you, for your grace alone I thirst, knowing well, that if I love you, you, Lord, have loved me first.
† PRESENTATION OF THE GIFTS OLD HUNDREDTH

Jesus Raises Lazarus
Throughout Lent we are using photography to explore the idea of wilderness.
After the loss of his dear friend, Lazarus, Jesus gathers with friends and family to mourn. In the midst of this moment of wilderness grief, the unexpected happens: resurrection. This sign is a reminder that life happens in surprising times and places.
