Who I am ... I’m a 3rd year RMIT student major in Interior Design. I am enthusiastic, creative and hard-working. What I’ve done ...

Self-statement

Although I don’t have a lot of experience in the industry, I excel my school works, which involve a large range of fields, including basic technique skills, drafting knowledge, model-making skills, interior renovations, gallery installations, set design and even video making, computer mapping and so on. And I’m equipped with not only software knowledge, design ideas but also significant hand-drawing skills. Here’s my blog that shows a bit of my works: http://pingelingeling.tumblr.com/ What I can do ... Well, I’m looking for somewhere to excel myself during school holiday and I’m willing to do it voluntarily. I can work full time from now on until February 2013 and hopefully part-time during school semester (at least 2 days a week). 3 Things that inspire me ... Stage _ I’m always fascinated by any performance on stage and also interested in the relationship between performers and audience. And I myself sing in a choir that sings classical music, it’s always fun to know something backstage. Gallery _ It’s a space isolated from real world for it is a place where any possibility is allowed to happen and it significantly raises people’s self-conscious. What’s more, it calms me down, like a spiritual silent zone. Will Green _ He’s a knowledgeable friend of mine who is the opposite of me in all ways from interest to belief, from behaviour to personality, etc. Conversation with him is always inspiring although we normally don’t agree with each other at all.

Hand-drawing

Hand drawing skills ... I have learned hand drawing for more than 10 years and have exquisite skills in all kinds of drawings. As for interior design practice I keep using this advantage to create drafts and pursue ideas. Among all styles, sketching is what I am best at and helps significantly in my design presentations.

And I understand the use of all those computer software should be for clearer explanation and better understanding. My panels include many diagrams that serve the purpose of oral presentation or design package. And in order to present ideas in a better way, my interior drawings don’t limit in V-ray renderings but also collages, photoshops.
