Winter coats for men for this autumn by Fashion stylist Igor Srzic Cartledge
Winter is coming soon so it will be very important to have a great coat When buying a coat we need to consider a lot of things before we make that final purchase.
Here are a few designs with different styles and colours:

Fitness
In case of fat emergency! Words: Adam Lewis In the run up to Christmas I’m anticipating the usual questions from people wanting to get in shape for the office party and avoid the inevitable festive weight gain. That said, whilst waiting outside a clients home one morning (for a fitness session, I wasn’t stalking him) I saw a ‘Fire Emergency’ sign on the wall, it dawned on me that in case of a ‘fat’ emergency, the same rules apply! Don’t take the lift, take the stairs! I was intending to write about how there is no

don’t think you could describe Brighton as a place with its feet firmly on the ground. Why have planted feet anyway when you can skip and click your heels through life? I like to think of Brighton as a city in perpetual joyful motion. It is a place you can skate, sail, cycle, jog or kite board your way through. Movement is encouraged, it is everywhere, it gives us a kinetic kick. Brighton has historically been a bit of an innovator when it comes to finding ways of propelling oneself, largely in thanks to one name, that of Magnus Volk. He built the ill fated Brighton and Rottingdean Seashore Electric Railway which was basically a train on stilts in the sea. It, somewhat unsurprising, failed yet I bet it was subject to a lot less weekend engineering works than our modern train service. He also built a sea plane station on the sea front and his more successful Volk’s Electric Railway is still running today, the oldest in operation in the world. You can whizz from the aquarium to the marina and take in an eyeful as you pass the nudist beach. And soon we will have an Eiffel all of our very own (do you see what I did there?).
Yes folks, Brighton is moving on the up. We are to have our very own viewing tower that we will be whisked up using the latest sustainable energy methods. I had hoped that perhaps this would entail a system of ropes and pulleys powered by organically fed, free range guinea pigs but sadly not. The website for the 360i Brighton, which is due to be completed in 2015, states that it will be the tallest observation tower in Britain outside of London offering views of up to 25 miles. Apparently on a clear day you will be able to see Bognor Regis, I am not sure if this is meant to be an appealing prospect or merely a warning.
me in my ill-fitting swim togs and swimming shoes - that, my friends, is an eye sore. If the tower does get completed can I suggest that we Brightonians, both those for it and against it, claim it as our own. The official 360i Brighton website states that there are naming rights to the tower up for graps. It is just a thought but if we all bunged in a few quid perhaps we could collectively own said naming rights. I am open to suggestions as to what we could call it but let me get the ball rolling with “ The Brighton and Hove Albion, 100% Organic, Fat Boy Slim, Bikram, Hipster, Massive Middle Digit, Observation Tower”
The plans have obviously divided opinion in the city. Some argue that the new attraction will bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city. Others wonder where on earth all these potential new visitors will blinking well park? Bognor perhaps.... “Mummy, I can see our car from up here!!” Some are delighted by the prospect of regeneration in the area and job opportunities. Some feel it will be an eye sore on our seafront. To those people I would say you have obviously never seen

Horror on my Mind Absolute Cinema Guide with Bill Murray In this month’s column I have Horror on my mind. I am lover of all things slashy and in the season of bonfires and pumpkins I offer you a treat remade to almost perfection. I also highly recommend the follow up to the Hunger Games and the new all star animation from the Dream works studios. Carrie A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King this remake of the classic Brian De Palma seventies shocker has a real sense of terror about it. In the original, Piper Laurie is simply phenomenal as Carrie’s demented, sexually repressed mama, evangelizing house to house with a black cape and pamphlets about the Lord. Julianne Moore is possibly even more insane and plays the mother of a telekinetic freak even more outlandishly than her predecessor Laurie. The remake has Chloë Grace Moretz playing a feisty Carrie contrasting Spaceks awkwardly odd, angular beauty that to me is perfect for the part. You can’t help desperately hoping things will somehow turn out for her, even when she’s killing off most of her classmates and blowing up half the town. Moretz doesn’t draw you in as much but actually delivers a fantastic performance as a victim hell bent on revenge! This is a great horror film, the first and certainly one of the best film versions of any King novel. The original Carrie is a strange and satisfying blend of dark humor, horror, teen angst and melodrama. Kimberly Peirce the director of this classy remake has given us everything a horror fan could ask but fails to replace the intensity and black humor of the original. 5 out of 5 for the Original and 4 for the remake!

The Hunger Games – Catching fire This follow up to the hugely successful first installment begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever. I loved the first film and so did my kids so I am really looking forward to their marks out of ten for this big budget powerhouse to hit our screens 4 out of 5 stars

The Descent – (Is a lot like our Haunt, The Cellar) It could be said that the creatures of The Cellar are not unlike the ones in this film…
Turbo DreamWorks’ new animated film Turbo is going to redefine the term “moving at a snail’s pace for audiences,” when you see this snail that dreams when it comes to how fast he can go. Turbo (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) spends his evenings watching NASCAR and dreaming of roaring across the finish line first - the only problem? Well, he’s a snail, they’re not exactly known for their lightning speed. Turbo’s obsession with speed gets him kicked out of his village, but when he gets a jolt from a hot rod’s turbo booster it gives him the natural talent he needs to zip across any finish line.Taco vendor brothers Tito and Angelo spy his natural talent and pluck him out of obscurity hoping he’ll be their ticket to fame and fortune, they set off for the Indy 500 with a set of wacky snails in tow cheering him on. There are some semi hidden massages here and the voices really match the characters they represent. Things That Go Bump In The Night by Phoebe Oliver The leaves are turning, nights are closing in. White wine spritzers on the beach are being replaced with long muddy dog walks, glass of red and relaxing round a log fire. This month we also see The Eve of All Hallows (or Halloween) creep upon us once again which both excites and terrifies me every year. A dinner party with friends telling ghost stories is a fitting way to celebrate this festival before venturing forth into the night. VisitBrighton and Drink Brighton have a few other suggestions to unchain your demons www.drinkinbrighton.co.uk/ news/story/halloween-happenings and www.visitbrighton.com/whats-on but we also wanted to pick our five best around the UK for you to contemplate. Halloween Week - Borde Hill
The Ghost Walk Of The Lanes Our Lanes are steeped in ghostly histories and these are just the very best boys to show you how to do this! This small area, with its narrow streets and tightly packed buildings, was once the original fishing settlement of Brighthelmstone – it is the oldest part of the city and, unquestionably, the most haunted. Alongside the spine-tingling tales the walk takes in much of the area’s rich and varied history. The walk is the brainchild of actor and master storyteller Rob Marks and includes eight macabre tales of brutal murders, hideous apparitions, boisterous poltergeists, wandering nuns and Brighton’s infamous Jack-the-Ripper connection. As many folks like to make an early start in celebrating this particularly

The city tour guides hold regular Ghost and Ghouls tours that take guests around the medieval cobbled streets of the city to the many centuries-old buildings where ghosts have been spotted. These include a building in the Market Place, where the ghost of 10-year-old Charlie, who died in the 1800s, regularly greets people. Then there is the 11th-century cathedral itself where night watchmen have spotted robed figures over the shrine of St Alban and heard the organ being played at night when they have been the only people in the cathedral. I’d tear it down, and rebuild a funky 1,000 seater concert hall of my own. My venue would fill that gap between the Brighton centre and Old Market. It would be edgy and vital and be a must play venue for any band on the circuit. Ok, venue rant over, what else would I do? Well, I’ve got to be honest, it’s time folks. Time to pedestrianize the centre of Brighton, and I mean king-size pedestrianize! All the way along western road from Preston Street, past the square and down North Street to the Steine. Yep that much! Also carry on from Dukes Street down East Street and
