Architecture is an accompany. Designing the congruent architecture as a system of relations and distances, as the measurement of intervals rather than isolated objects is my aspiration. Embracing the globalization condition while responding to the place.

Typology : Sports Complex, Public Space Location : Antwerp, Belgium Category : Graduation Design, Personal Work Property : Interiors, Buildings, Cities Time : Sept.2018-Oct.2019 Instructor : Mechthild Stuhlmacher, Daniel Rosbottom, Floris Cornelisse
The city room is a place one might have intimate knowledge, and in which one would feel able to be at home, where spaces offer possibilities of interiority and subjectivity, and in so doing also produce a kind of freedom within the individual, who in both turned inward and given an appearance in public simultaneously. The city room can be conceived as a space of threshold between public and private world, between collective and intimate experience. The project is the sports hall for the university of Antwerp, which including a courtyard. The concept is to make a informal space under the formal frame. The formal frame makes the project connect to the context of Antwerp. The informal space represent the program of the project. It plays the role as a living room which provide the relaxing and pleasant public space for the students,

The project under the studio “Tools for Design and Composition”. In the studio the emphasis lies on the conversion of a wellknown building type: the city block. A building type which could on one hand be located anywhere in Rotterdam and on the other hand must fit into the urban fabric of the area around the Grote Marktplein both in scale and programme. The project started with pragmatic and logic design base on the research of context. Taking the two direction as the most important character of the site, which are the direction of city and the direction of market. The program(market & youth aparment) and volumn respond to the place perfectly. The project eventually become a fansinating object which congruous with site in the city Rotterdam.

Arc Creator
Typology : Student Center Location : Tianjin, China Category : Academic Design, Personal Work Property : Design Basis D Time : May.2014-Jul.2014 Instructor : Dan Xie
Arc creator is the Iron Man's energy center, similarly, this student center is the energy center of the entire university. The building attempts to break the boundaries between the architecture and the environment. The road generated by the campus formation cross the building, providing a shortcut in the campus, so that the student can have a chance to step into this student center when they walking in the campus. This building contains four functional blocks which are the interest space, reading space, catering space and the office space. The core of the building is a free performance stage. It break the traditional stage form, providing students with a display space. When the students cross the building, they can perform at will or watch the performance provided by others. It can activate the campus just like the arc creator provides energy for the Iron Man.
