LITTLE GIRL, BIG DREAMS. From the time many showmen are young, a love of horses flows through their veins. It’s a combination of hard work, long hours and family dedication that make the dreams of these kids a reality, kids like Anna Overway. With the help of her family, Overway has worked hard to prepare for her first experince at the Pinto World Championship® show with a new horse she leased, EAZY ON MY ASSETS also known as “Mikko.” “I couldn’t have gotten here without the help of my dad and grandma,” Overway said. “Mikko also helped me, we work together and he teaches me so much.” All the way from Kalamazoo, MI, Overway says she lives 45 minutes from the barn, but that doesn’t stop her from getting there three to four times a week to ride Mikko and train for the PWC. “Mikko works really hard for me,” Overway said. “We work together and we’ve worked our hardest to get ready to show here.” Overway says her favorite part of PWC is how much fun everyone is, with big barns and tons of new people, she says that she’s so excited for the memories she will make while with her family.
While the week has only begun, Overway says she can’t wait to show in her classes and hopefully gets the opportunity to come back next year to compete. “I’m so excited to see Anna out here competeing,” said Overway’s mom, Sarah Overway. “She gets to experience a larger show and learn while having fun.”
