aking part in the development of programmes from (and for) Africa is a personal satisfaction as much as a true challenge. All figures demonstrate that the development of programmes (films, series, video games ...etc.) explodes among most of the emerging countries. A huge creativity burst which uses all kind of media and format. South American and western series productions are no better than the skills we had on set (technicians, actors etc.) and this paves the way to big Medias group who can now choose the African continent to develop and find new talents. Vanilla Girls is a “multicultural” series filmed in studio and exterior sets intended for western, African and Indian markets.

THE CONCEPT On a classic tone of South American’s "telenovelas", soaking up the romantic and tragic world of Bollywood soaps, VANILLA GIRLS showcases the fates of several touching characters evolving in the context of a luxury hotel at the edge of a heavenly lagoon. A western family, whose father, Wesley, manage the establishment with an iron hand and will fight against all odds so as his daughter, Kim, gave up her love for Brehan, the young, charming and irresistible beach attendant. Throughout the episodes, a family of characters will become part of this passionate drama (the concierge who dream to become the Hotel Manager, the beach bar barman, the housekeeper who knows all the secrets, but also the regular guests who lead several successive episodes) which the viewers will intensely share all the torments, happiness and universal dramas (moral and professional dilemmas, social casts struggles, neo-colonials conflicts, birth, marriage, infertility, adoption, crime, professional disgrace, divorce, education of children, medical and psychological dramas, prostitution, mourning… etc.) In a psychologic drama and romantic comedy tonality, VANILLA GIRLS depicts the heart-moving fates of these families caught between tradition and modernity, at the crossroads of different cultures and several continents. 4

Directed by professional western choreographers, VANILLA GIRLS mix up traditional as well as more modern western dances (disco, salsa, hip-hop, breakdance…) FLASHMOBS AND INTERACTIVE BONUS Recurrently but not on a regular basis, VANILLA GIRLS includes Flashmobs in its scenario. Fans will be able to learn – beforehand – the full choreography of the dances that will be broadcast directly on the Series’ Official website. Both a dance class and an interactivity generator with the viewers, all the Flashmobs broadcasted during one season represent parts of a full complete flashmob dance of several minutes which is released at the end of this season.
