My name's Maureen, but you can call me mo.
It's so nice to meet you. I started Pipsticks five years ago as a side hustle to motherhood (Pipsticks is my fifth child!). As a designer, I've always loved stationery, and I was fueled by memories of my childhood sticker club - a place where we used to get together, eat chips and dip, and gush over our sticker collections. It was magical. It was my first self-selected community, and it really felt like something special. Pipsticks began as a subscription sticker club, and a couple years ago we started designing our own stickers (I say we, but back then it was me designing everything by myself). The ride since then has been BANANAS crazy. Our Pipstickers took off and the more we designed (I finally hired a design team), the more ideas we had. I quickly realized that there was a huge gap in the market left long ago by the sticker giants of the 80's and 90's. And we took quick advantage of it. As a child of the 80's, I am obsessed with the sticker craze of decades past and built Pipsticks around the idea that stickers are still just as magical, just as powerful, and just as irresistible as they were back then. We're now at the beginning of a NEW STICKER CRAZE. But this time, it's not just kids. It's teens and millennials with stickers all over their water bottles, computers, and phones. It's 30 somethings with stickers all over their paper planners, lists, and agendas. It's 40-60 year olds who never let go of their sticker love, and now have real money to spend on their collections. The good news is that stickers are hot hot hot. The great news is that Pipsticks is poised to crush it with a huge catalog of squeal-worthy designs that are proven to be loved by all ages. Our stickers are totally on trend and - more importantly - look gorgeous and feel special (because they are!). Pipsticks sticker club first launched as a side hustle to motherhood. I had four kids under five, cool Instagram filters, and a business bank account (expensing stickers was like a dream come true!).
2016 I quickly realized that I wasn't the only sticker lover out there! After a year, I was sending stickers to thousands of sticker lovers (of all ages) all over the world each month.

In 2019 we launched our wholesale line of Pipstickers (the coolest, most original stickers with the finest details + finishes)! With a huge catalog of collectible designs, they've been a hit with kids, teens, and adults. Retailers were quick to reorder, and vinyl stickers were a showstopper.

We've designed three collections for Workman Publishing so far, gaining re-orders from retailers including Barnes & Noble and Urban Outfitters.
In 2016, I convinced my husband, Nathan, to leave his big city finance job and help me take my Sticker Biz to the next level. We moved from London to California and set up shop in the cottage behind our house. I hired our first intern, and the team grew to 7 by the end of the year.

2017
Family biz on a budget!
2017 was BIG! We moved to a 5K sf warehouse and got to work painting all the walls. The landlord didn't believe me when I told him I wanted them to paint the floors pink....
The Pipsticks Studio is colorful and bright - intended to inspire wacky ideas and brilliant design!
That summer, we walled off the front of the studio space and opened a sticker shop! I dreamed of washi rainbows, a giant sticker mosaic, and a wall of stickers on the roll just like old times. We pulled it all together and hung tons of huge foam core clouds to cover up the ugly ceiling!
2018 Painting stripes is harder than it looks.
In 2018, we partnered with Workman Publishing to make the planners and sticker books of my dreams! This experience made me realize that we should design all of our own stickers...

Selling points Price Point
Pipstickers cost significantly less than a greeting card, and pack a bigger dose of fun in each sheet. These Pipstickers are traditional stickers in the sense that they're small and usually used to jazz up and embellish paper products like notebooks, greeting cards, bullet journals, planners, rent checks, etc. They're also highly collectible. Our decorative Pipstickers are printed on white or transparent PVC, paper, and washi paper (a thin, translucent Japanese paper).
