Parents/Carers We have booked a sensory workshop ‘All Children Are Multi-Sensory’ With Lindsey Brewis from Scope Date: Tuesday 25th June 2013 Time: 09.30-12.30 Venue: The Pines Children and Family Centre 67 Chester Road, Hazel Grove, Stockport, SK7 5PE Lindsey Brewis represents the Early Years Team for Scope. She used to be a teacher and Portage Home Advisor as well as having written several articles on child with neurodisabilty. Lindsey has four children three of whom have additional needs and disabilities and having dyslexia and dyspraxia herself she knows how important support is to a child and what a difference good support can make. This short course will tell parents more about the ways in which sensory support helps your child and introduce you to practical everyday things you can do to improve your child’s confidence and engage with them through using more sensory approaches. Lindsey will also use materials and look at ways to stimulate and calm children through understanding their multisensory needs. This session will be interactive and Lindsey would like to hear your own experiences which she may refer to in the future to help other parents/carers.
