The Programme

The Teacher

People with learning difficulties often have a very sensitive and open relationship to Nature. In our experience the study of plants is found to be enlivening, invigorating and deeply healing and satisfying for people of all ages and abilities. The Pishwanton Project is offering a week long summer school specifically for people with special needs – with or without our support workers. The course includes accommodation in our comfortable hostels, B&B in Quince Cottage, near Pishwanton and self-catering in Greenbank cottage in Gifford. All refreshments, lunch and an evening meal are provided. The course will include group plant study of living plants and plant parts, drawing and painting and the study of a personal chosen plant in the landscape every day. All art materials are included in the price.
