FOR VIRTUAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS JOTNE BIM Solutions, Inc., announced today that they have signed a strategic partnership agreement with Kiewit Corporation, one of North America’s largest and most respected construction and mining organizations. The contract includes an enterprise license agreement for the EXPRESS Data Manager™ products and a service contract that will be run from the Jotne offices in Omaha, Nebraska. “In order to support our virtual design and construction (VDC) workflows, we have entered into partnerships with key vendors to deploy solutions that exchange, share and archive VDC information in internationally recognized open standard formats. We selected JOTNE BIM Solutions for its leading technology in this space – and for its long-time support of the standards we are using,” said Rich Richardson, chief information officer at Kiewit Corporation. “Kiewit has been evaluating our software for a long time, they have been very committed to this process and we are certainly very satisfied that this one year evaluation process has been successful. SOLUTION HIGHLIGHTS: Support for industry data standards such as ISO 16739 (IFC), ISO 15926, landXML and CIS/2 in a collaborative VDC workflow: - Author-to-Submit Process: Enable Kiewit engineers to deliver VDC data as part of their day-to-day workflow. - Submit-to Validate Process: Define and run business rules to ensure that Kiewit’s key performance indicators are secured. - Validate-to-ERP Process: Make ERP solutions capable of using all VDC data.
