Compatibility Our PetroFlame® booms are compatible with all major burner heads and flame arrestors on the market. Furthermore, our booms have been mounted on both new and old vessels by tailored interfaces.
Customised Boom Grenland Group has over the last three decades delivered more than 30 burner booms of various kinds. We can customise a boom to suit the exact specification given by the buyer, or develop a customised specification. Standard Boom By selecting one of our standard boom designs, price and delivery time can be reduced significantly, compared to having a completely new design engineered and fabri-cated. Normally, only small adjustments on the rig or the boom are required to utilise a standard boom. Specifications and Regulations All our booms are produced in accordance with offshore standards and DNV, ABS and IMO regulations.
Heat / Water Shield The water shield consists of two spray booms and one U-loop with totally 20 spray nozzles mounted. Required water capacity is approx. 45006000l/min at 7-10 bar. Surface Treatment We supply surface treatment and paint system in accordance with specifications on heat, corrosion and lifetime.
Fabrication Our PetroFlame® booms are produced at several sites around the world. Our booms have been produced in Korea, Singapore, China, Poland, Norway and Germany. Skilled personnel and HSE systems are essential in this process.

Control Cabinet
The cantilever PetroFlame® is tailormade for semi-submersible rigs. Its design is adjustable to fit any existing hull structure, where it is hinged on the platform foundation. This attribute, along with its simple fastening concept, makes it ideal for use on semi-submersible rigs.

Slewing system
King Post Mounted PetroFlame® The King Post Mounted PetroFlame® is customised for Jack-ups. The boom can be delivered with pivot rotation (manually or hydraulically) or fixed position. Grenland Group has delivered this type of boom to A.P. Moeller - Maersk Contractors.
With its pedestal, the Swan Neck PetroFlame® boom safely relocates the flame from the vessel’s deck and away from sea surface.
The King Post Mounted PetroFlame® is installed on a purpose built pedestal and hung off on excisting jack-up structure.
Grenland Group has delivered several booms of this design for e.g. Stena Drilling. The boom is installed on a purpose- built fixed pedestal.
