The PAW Patrol Live! productions are based on the TV cartoon series in which 10-year-old Ryder leads the pups of PAW Patrol, who are rescue dogs in training. Each pup is inspired by a real-world job like firefighter, police officer, and construction worker. When trouble strikes Adventure Bay, the pups are there to save the day whether it's a cat in a tree or a train off the tracks. The popular show has attracted the attention of celebrities and the Prime Minister of Canada. PAW Patrol was mentioned at September’s Emmy Awards when John Oliver, recipient of the Outstanding Variety Talk Series honor, commented in his acceptance remarks that his 2-1/2-year-old son “hates our show. He likes PAW Patrol.” In a skit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon early this year, Justin Timberlake told Fallon that he’s mostly been watching PAW Patrol and that Chase was his favorite PAW Patrol pup. Both performers have young children. In March at the Oscars, host Jimmy Kimmel joked that a young nominee was missing PAW Patrol to attend the Academy Awards ceremony. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says that his children are fans of the show and he mentioned the characters by name in a speech last year. For kids, PAW Patrol teaches bravery and heroism. Ryder and the pups also teach lessons about caring for animals, a message that is reinforced through PAW Patrol’s real-life partnership with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The series, PAW Patrol has won six Canadian Screen Awards including Best Pre-School Program or Series in 2017 and 2018.

made advances in technology and character special effects, allowing us to transform Bruce Banner into the Hulk right before your eyes, levitate Doctor Strange, throw Spider-Man’s webs and more.” Fan reviews applaud many aspects of the show, including the story, acting, scenery, special effects, cast interaction with the audience, stunts, dancing and the duration of the show. With intermission, the show runs approximately one hour and 45 minutes. Audience members shared their experiences, writing: “Performers were exceptional and well trained, props looked great, stunts were mesmerizing, and just all around fun! …My son went absolutely crazy with excitement and honestly, I did too!” “My husband and I are huge Marvel nerds…. We are grown adults in our late 20s-30s, and we loved how campy and fun the show was!” “The show was a lot of fun. My 7- and 4-year old loved it! …They had some other cool scenes with fire and dancing. It was a great experience.” “I took my family and we all loved it, it was truly entertaining and I have to say the sound was incredible.” “We had a blast! I'm a huge Marvel/Avengers fan (a big kid at 35 years old!) …. The story was great, and I loved the stunts.” “Phenomenal! My 2.5-year-old loves Marvel but I didn't think he'd sit through this...glad we took the chance, he was riveted and engaged through the whole thing. The show was well done without being overwhelming and the right length. Characters were dead on to their parts and the stage hands were awesome with the sets! Recommend it 10,000 times!” “My boys (almost 3 and 6 years old) had a wonderful time. The show was action packed with plenty of stunts and an exciting story line to keep their attention the whole time. They haven’t stopped talking about it/acting it out. They’re already asking if it’s coming back next year.” “Very enjoyable show. My grandson and I had a good time.” Age of Heroes, began touring the U.S. and Canada last year and continues into 2019, when the show goes abroad. | 26 |

Groban holds the distinction of performing for four major awards programs: the Grammys, Tonys, Emmys and Oscars. In June, he co-hosted the 72nd Tony Awards with Sara Bareilles. Groban says that the most special moment of the program for him was the performance by the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students. Earlier this year in New York, Groban filmed the new Netflix series, The Good Cop, in which he plays the lead opposite Tony Danza. Simultaneously he was working on Bridges. The Good Cop and Bridges were to make their debuts on the same day this September. Groban released two singles this year – “Symphony” and “Granted.” In 2017, Groban was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Lead Actor in a Musical for his Broadway debut in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. | 30 |

Groban owns two 2003 Billboard Music Awards for Classical Crossover Artist of the Year and Classical Crossover Album of the Year for Closer. He has been nominated for Grammy Awards four times, including 2005 Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “You Raise Me Up,” and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album in 2009 for Noel, 2016 for Stages, and 2017 for Stages Live. In 2008, Groban and Menzel worked together on a taping for PBS Soundstage. They also performed together in Chess in Concert, a live concert version of the musical, Chess, which was made into a DVD and a CD. Groban and Menzel share an interest in arts education and both set up foundations to bring the arts to young people. In July 2011, Groban established the Find Your Light Foundation to help enrich the lives of young people through arts, education, and cultural awareness. It covers a wide array of possibilities, from providing instruments and funding for arts programs in schools to introducing people to the arts and culture around them through the use of technology. Among his foundation’s beneficiaries is The Children’s Festival Chorus in Pittsburgh. Menzel co-founded the A Broader Way Foundation in 2010. The organization is dedicated to offering girls from underserved communities an outlet for self-expression and creativity through arts-centered programs. The legendary, Grammy-Award winning Fleetwood Mac returns to PPG Paints Arena on its 19th tour, An Evening with Fleetwood Mac, making its third appearance at PPG Paints Arena. An Evening with Fleetwood Mac features the group’s new line-up – Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie along with newcomers to the band, Mike Campbell and Neil Finn. Campbell and Finn are not newcomers to performing great music and touring. They joined Fleetwood Mac this spring and began rehearsals for the tour soon afterward. Campbell, 68, a musician, songwriter and record producer, was the lead guitarist for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and a founding member of that band in 1976. With Petty and Nicks, Campbell co-wrote Nicks’ first solo hit “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” Finn, 60, a singer, songwriter and musician from New Zealand, was cofounder and front man for Crowded House, and his credentials include his solo career, and Radiohead guitarist. A composer of “Song of the Lonely Mountain,” Finn performed the song for the end credits of An Unexpected Journey of The Hobbit film series. Continued on page 54

We are thrilled to welcome the musical talents of the caliber of Mike Campbell and Neil Finn into the Mac family. With Mike and Neil, we’ll be performing all the hits that the fans love, plus we’ll be surprising our audiences with some tracks from our historic catalogue of songs. Fleetwood Mac has always been a creative evolution. We look forward to honoring that spirit on this upcoming tour. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, Fleetwood Mac’s current tour of more than 50 North American cities kicked off this October and continues into May 2019. The Pittsburgh show in November represents Fleetwood Mac’s third appearance at PPG Paints Arena, following stops by the On with the Show tour in October 2014 and the Fleetwood Mac Live Tour in April 2013. In January, Fleetwood Mac was celebrated during Grammy Awards Week when it became the first band to ever receive the MusiCares Person of the Year honor. The award is presented in recognition of significant creative accomplishments and longtime support of charitable causes including MusiCares. The band also won the Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 2003 for Rumours, the album that gave Fleetwood Mac its first Grammy for Album of the Year in 1978. Fleetwood Mac first toured in 1970 and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. The group released 17 studio albums between 1968 and 2003, and An Evening with Fleetwood Mac features songs from the entire repertoire. In May, SiriusXM presented The Fleetwood Mac Channel featuring music, interviews and shows hosted by current and former band members. Fleetwood Mac, founded by Peter Green in 1967, was named after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Christine McVie joined the band in 1970, and Stevie Nicks joined in 1974. | 55 |
