MAIRE THERESE CARMACK American mezzo-soprano Maire Therese Carmack has been praised by Opera News for her “deep mezzo and vibrant metallic timbre.” In the 2022/2023 season, Ms. Carmack joins the Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Artist Program, makes her Carnegie Hall debut as a participant in Renée Fleming’s SongStudio, and her Heinz Hall debut with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra as a soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony under the baton of Maestro Manfred Honeck. Equally at home in repertoire old and new, Ms. Carmack performed the role of Prima Donna in the world premiere of Philip Blackburn’s multi-media hyper-opera, The Sun Palace, which became a 60-minute Indie film that was premiered at New York’s Anthology Film Archives.
