It’s not about the bike
It’s about putting people first
I want to plant the following three seeds today •
Humans are meant to walk, but walking is often engineered out of human environments. We can change this!
•
That we’ve been investing in the wrong things for decades. Time to learn from our mistakes!
•
That we must spend money on communities not commutes. Time to flip the script!
•
And that we need to plan for great communities through the lens of abundance not scarcity. The money is there!

To recap •
Humans are meant to walk, but walking (and therefore biking) is often engineered out of human environments in favor of making things more hospitable to cars. It’s a choice so we can change this.
•
We’ve made a lot of mistakes over the past 70 years. I hope we’ve learned from them!
•
That we must stop spending so much on commutes and instead spend on communities. We must put people first!
•
And that the money is there to help realize this future!
