Back when I was a kid . . . . The days when your biggest worry was making sure you were home by dark so mom didn’t yell at ya. You spent your entire summer on your bicycle trying to catch bigger air than your buddy who lived down the street. Your biggest goal was riding faster, jumping further and racing against your friends while showing them all who the Neighborhood National Champion really was. Those of us who were really lucky got to ride a motorcycle. Twist’n that throttle for the first time was so insane that the instant it happened, we were hooked for life. In the late 1960’s a young man named Jim O’Neal raced across the United States against the youngest and the best this country had to offer. Jim knew there was a need for better parts, apparel and accessories that could stand up to the world’s toughest sport, Motocross. As the sport itself was being born, so too was the company that Jim O’Neal founded. The passion of a kid living in Southern California turned into the production of the world’s finest apparel, parts and accessories for those who want to ride. 38 years later the obsession does not stop. Making the finest products on the planet is what O’NEAL is all about. Today, Jim O’Neal can still be found racing and torture testing O’NEAL products. While most of Jim’s peers are retiring and taking it easy with a good book and some hot coco, Jim is racing with his teammates capturing victory across the 1,000 mile course in Baja, Mexico.
