Worth knowing & SPA etiquette „SPA“ is actually the modern abbreviation for the Latin term “sanitas per aquam” – health through water, so spa facilities are closely associated with water. However, only businesses which offer wellness and body treatments with trained staff as well as sauna facilities can call themselves spa hotels. The theory of the 4 elements in the SPA, or TEM (Traditional European Medicine) TEM was developed by the Celts and Romans from simple knowledge of herbs through to acupuncture. It is therefore totally authentic for use in the Central European area. The observation of nature gave rise to the basic ideas that everything in life is in a constant relationship with everything else, and as soon as this is disrupted the equilibrium begins to totter – and people are no longer in balance. The union of the elements – earth, air, fire and water – guarantees harmonious equilibrium and balance. BALANCE-SPA opening times Our BALANCE-SPA centre is open for our guests every day from 09.00 to 20.00 Clothing and preparation Please come for your treatment wearing your bathrobe. To get you in the mood for your treatment, we look forward to seeing you 10 minutes before the start of treatment for a beneficial cup of tea. To prepare for massages, we recommend that you use the sauna or spend a few minutes in the infrared booth if possible. Consuming alcohol immediately before treatment reduces the positive effect.
Tea Bar Enjoy the Tea Bar and the energized water (Grander water) in the Cerelain Bar. Please remember that the body loses a lot of fluid every time you have a sauna, so you need to compensate for this loss of fluid by increasing your water intake. This will help your body to detox as well as possible. You can obtain more useful information from our therapists, and of course also from the daily BALANCE Post. Mobile phones The use of mobile phones, and in particular the use of mobile phone cameras, is not permitted throughout the BALANCE-SPA center. Our guests’ intimate sphere is very important to us, so we ask for your understanding. SPA slippers The wearing of spa slippers or our own Balance slippers is recommended throughout the Spa Centre for reasons of hygiene and above all of safety (high risk of slipping). Children At our Hotel ELISABETH**** we have large play areas for our small guests. We ask for your understanding that the entire BALANCE-SPA area is a total relaxation area where children under 14 are not allowed. Advice and information Our BALANCE-SPA team will be delighted to inform you which treatment is best for your wellbeing.
Delays and cancellation If you arrive late for your treatment, unfortunately the treatment time will have to be reduced. Your appointment can be cancelled free of charge up to 12 hours before the treatment time. If you cancel to late or do not appear for your treatment, we still have to charge 80 % of the full amount.
