The Academy of Science, Technology and Arts (ASTA) is a private nondenominational high school and university preparation training institution. It was founded on a shared passion amongst individuals for youth empowerment and development.

The academy’s curriculum is built around ensuring:   

Critical thinking, and reasoning Practical application of information Reinforcement of positive values and attitudes

The academy offers the traditional Caribbean secondary curriculum to students, utilizing traditional and nontraditional teaching techniques aided by technologically advanced tools and good practices. Emphasis will be placed on the use of critical thinking and logical reasoning, in the disciplines of Science, Technology and Arts and their practical use.

Through interactive sessions, practical applications and utilizing a holistic approach ATSA aims to achieve academic excellence and produce wellrounded students who are mentally and emotionally prepared for international tertiary education and equipped with the necessary life skills for the current world. Attitudes of dedication, patience, respect and collaboration which are the hallmarks of science will be stressed, as far as is practical individual learning needs of students will also be facilitated.

ASTA will support its students and teachers through the use of proactive practices involving:     

One to one academic analysis and advice sessions One to one social interaction counseling Peer Group sessions and mentoring Behavioral improvement Regular student and teacher evaluations

ASTA aims to challenge your child intellectually, grow them socially, and guide them toward independent thinking and problem solving. As we strive to promote healthy development in all aspects of each student's life we also strive to develop a student body of good character; students who make good choices and decisions resulting in successful and healthy outcomes. We encourage students to demonstrate the best of themselves every moment of everyday and to make positive contributions to the groups and organizations to which they belong.

Our teachers and support staff use proven methodologies and a highly effective curriculum to help students grow academically, socially, and physically. We regularly participate in professional development in order to improve our skills and offer a better learning experience for the students.
