BRAINSTORMING WHEN use for creative, ‘out of the box thinking to prepare for a speech or writing HOW to use it: define problem, then use a blank page/board to generate ideas 4 RULES: . put everything down – don’t discuss, debate . quantity is best at first – new ideas come after old ones . freewheel – use one idea to stimulate the next one (yours, others) .mutate and combine - distort old ideas, build new combinations from existing ideas (yours & theirs) Physical TOOLS: put ideas all over the empty space, any which way THEN link related ideas with colors or symbols. There it is … almost a completed text, a first draft!
