I chose BBC four as the channel that would broadcast the program I am proposing because I feel it is very much like a lot of the other programs shown. This channel tends to show documentaries and informative series, very often looking at music of the past and present, such as ‘prog Britannia’.

Above are vintage gig posters from a prolific period for great guitarists and heavy rock bands. On the right are some really interesting contemporary posters produced as a tribute to the late and great Jimi Hendrix, reveared by most, including myself as the greatest guitarist ever to have lived.

I really like the feel of gig footage, the array of different lighting and camera angles really give it an interesting aesthetic. One that was synonymous with the time. The film grain and strange, primitive film editing only add to the experience.

Type
In terms of type, I have been looking at faces that the various bands the guitarists were in used. These tend to be rather decorative, and along with the bright aesthetic of the stage lighting and cameras I find it quite nice to use really clean, crisp type. such as the posters on the right.
