Place2Be Wimbledon Sweepstake
Cause a racket with a Wimbledon Sweepstakes
How to organise your Wimbledon Sweepstake
1. In the week leading up to Wimbledon, use the provided sheet to write down the names of the players participating in the event. Cut out and fold the names and place them in a hat
2. Rally your friends, family, or colleagues to draw a ticket in return for a donation (£2£5 per ticket recommended). Record which player each person has drawn on the sheet provided.
3. Sit back and enjoy the thrilling matches as everyone roots for their chosen players.
4. After the finals, award the winner with a prize, this can be a novelty prize or a percentage of the donations – just be clear about the prize from the start.
5. Use the rest of the donations to help ensure no child has to face mental health problems alone. To pay in your sweepstake fundraising to Place2Be, visit www.place2be.org.uk/ support-us/donate/
How to ace your sweepstake
Make some noise about when your tickets go on sale at the start of Wimbledon, and tell your colleagues, family and friends how they can participate.
Organise a screening to watch the big final. Serve up classic Wimbledon treats like strawberries and cream (and perhaps even some Pimms) in return for some generous donations.
Thank you for fundraising for Place2Be!

This summer, seize the excitement of Wimbledon and make a difference with Place2Be’s Wimbledon Sweepstake. Everyone who takes part will have their own player to support, the prospect of winning a prize, and will be raising money to help ensure no child has to face mental health problems alone. Place2Be

Sweepstake information and guidance
Basic rules and guidelines you will need to follow if you plan to run your sweepstake and fundraise below.
1. The entry price to participate in the sweepstake must be the same for all participants.
2. The person organising the sweepstake and participating individuals must all be over 16.
3. You need to decide before running your competition if the entry money will be split between the winner and the Charity (Place2Be) or if you will have a separate prize with all entry fees going to the Charity. Whichever approach you take, participants must be informed before they enter, and you, as the organiser, cannot make a profit from the sweepstake – the raised funds will need to be donated.
4. If running your sweepstake at work, participants in your office sweepstake must all be employed to work from the same location.
5. If running your sweepstake at home, participants in your sweepstake must all live on the same premises as the organiser.
6. You are only permitted to promote the sweepstake on the premises where it is taking place.
7. You are not permitted to and must not sell entry on the street or from house to house.
For more information on the rules and guidance of running your sweepstake, please visit the Gambling Commission website, gamblingcommission.gov.uk , or contact a member of our fundraising department by emailing events@place2be.org.uk. Place2Be
