GlenOak High School Attendance Policy For Early Dismissals Attendance Policy for Early Dismissals requires the school to have contact with a parent or guardian before releasing their child. NO STUDENT CAN BE RELEASED WITHOUT SCHOOL PERSONNEL SPEAKING WITH A PARENT OR GUARDIAN. IF A STUDENT BECOMES ILL DURING THE DAY, they are to report to Mrs. Dragan D117, a call will be placed to a parent or guardian and arrangements made for them to be picked up or leave. IF A STUDENT NEEDS TO LEAVE DURING THE DAY FOR AN APPOINTMENT, a call is to be made to Mrs. Dragan or the Attendance Line the day before or the morning of the appointment. The student should report to D117 to pick up an Early Dismissal pass. A note written by a parent or guardian can also be brought to Mrs. Dragan the day before or morning of the appointment, a pass will be written and the student will be dismissed at the appropriate time. IF A LAST MINUTE APPOINTMENT IS MADE AND YOU NEED TO PICK UP YOUR STUDENT DURING THE SCHOOL DAY, please call Mrs. Dragan at the number below. We will send a pass to your child, they will be released at the appropriate time and meet you outside at Door #17. You will not need to come into the building to pick them up.

If school is cancelled for inclement weather or other reasons, the day of return will be the same day as the day that was cancelled. Example...Tuesday would be an A DAY. If school is cancelled on Tuesday and school resumes on Wednesday, the day would be an A DAY.

After School Support Your child is able to receive extra help from their teacher after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 2:45 p.m. These sessions are to help provide extra time, examples and discussion of key concepts that your child might need to become more successful with the material.
