In Giving, We Receive
I’m Mason Andrews, and music has been the heartbeat of my high school journey. From the moment I witnessed the Drifters’ captivating performance during a tech rehearsal as a freshman, I knew that choir was where I belonged. Serving as the Chorale Vice President and immersing myself in various choir ensembles like Men’s Chorus, Concert Choir, and Freshman Mixed has been an incredible privilege. Beyond the melodies, I’ve balanced my passion for singing with sports, running cross country and playing basketball in my early years. Now, as I prepare to embark on a new chapter at Kent State to study nutrition, I eagerly anticipate auditioning for the Nova Jazz program while continuing to share my voice in local musicals and vocal performances. My parents have been unwavering in their support, attending every performance and instilling in me the belief that I can achieve anything. I owe immense gratitude to Mr. Kieffer and Ms. Meese, who not only shaped my musical abilities but also imparted invaluable life lessons. As I bid farewell to GlenOak, I urge others to seize every moment, savoring the magic of choir and high school because, as I’ve learned, it’s an experience like no other.
I’m Ava Collins, and my journey through high school has been filled with harmonies, creativity, and a drive to make a lasting impact. Serving as the Secretary for Chorale while singing in Women’s Choir and Freshman Mixed has been a joyous part of my experience. Alongside my choir commitments, I’ve led as Head Captain and Choreographer of the Dazzling Dancers, bringing movement to life with passion and precision. Track and Field has also been a thrilling pursuit, keeping me active and engaged. Looking ahead, I’m eager to pursue studies in either Fine Arts and Architecture or Law in college, aiming to leave a permanent and positive mark on my community. Reflecting on cherished memories, Junior year’s May Show stands out as a great time for creating laughter and friendships with seniors and others. As I bid farewell, I leave with the reminder to value oneself, knowing that our identities and destinies are ours to shape, as I firmly believe, “Remember who you are and value yourself. No one can determine who you are or what your destiny is but you!”
I’m Myah Clark, and my journey through high school has been enriched by the power of music and the bonds of friendship. As a member of Chorale and the Drifters, I’ve found a second family within the choir community, where every note sung has strengthened our connection. Alongside my musical pursuits, I’ve been privileged to serve in the National Honor Society, embracing opportunities to give back to my school and community. Looking ahead, I’m excited to embark on a new chapter at Mount Union, where I’ll pursue a career in nursing driven by a passion for helping others. Reflecting on cherished memories, it’s the sense of belonging and kinship with my choir friends that I hold dear, as we’ve built a family through laughter, harmony, and shared experiences. As I bid farewell, my heart swells with gratitude for my friends, family, and the unwavering support of Mr. Kieffer and Ms. Meese. Their encouragement has been my guiding light, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. A
special shoutout goes to my incredible boyfriend, Josiah Foster, for being my rock and biggest cheerleader throughout it all. Your love and support mean the world to me, and I’m endlessly grateful for you. As I step into the future, I carry with me the lessons learned, the memories made, and the love that surrounds me.
I’m Hannah Conley, and my high school journey has been enriched by the harmony of music and the pursuit of knowledge. As a member of Chorale, Women’s Chorus, and Freshman Mixed, I’ve found solace and camaraderie within the choir community, with standout memories like our unforgettable trip to Orlando, where bonds were strengthened and memories made. Alongside my musical endeavors, I’ve thrived in academic societies like the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, fueling my passion for learning and growth. Looking ahead, I’m thrilled to embark on a new chapter at the University of Mount Union, where I’ll pursue dual majors in Biology and Criminal Justice, driven by a desire to understand and serve the world around me. As I bid farewell to high school, I’m grateful for the unwavering support of my family, whose encouragement has been my guiding light. With their love and support, I’m ready to embrace the challenges and adventures that lie ahead.
I’m Genevieve Dimmerling, and my high school journey has been a harmonious blend of music, service, and global exploration. As a member of Chorale, Women’s Chorus, and Freshman Mixed, I’ve found joy and connection through song, with standout memories like our senior trip to Disney, where laughter and friendship filled the air. Beyond the choir, I’ve embraced opportunities to broaden my horizons as a United States Youth Ambassador, delving into global understanding during my travels to Brazil. Engaged in the IB program, I’ve also dedicated myself to leadership roles in the NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, Key Club, and Student Council while balancing years of commitment to swimming and wrestling team statistics. As I prepare to embark on a new chapter at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, majoring in Social Work with a minor in Philippine Language and Culture, I’m grateful for the guidance of Mr. Kieffer and Ms. Meese, the unwavering support of my family and friends, and the cherished memories made within the choral department. Thank you all for making these four years truly unforgettable.

As I bid farewell to high school, I’m deeply grateful for the tireless dedication of Ms. Meese and Mr. Kieffer, whose passion and leadership have shaped our choir
department into a haven of talent and creativity. I also extend heartfelt thanks to the department officers and, most importantly, my mom, whose unwavering support has been my anchor throughout this journey, from cheering me on at concerts to investing in my passion for music.

Though my time in Concert Choir was brief, the melodies and friendships will forever hold a special place in my heart. Outside of choir, I’ve dedicated myself to the GlenOak girls’ soccer team, where teamwork and dedication have shaped me. Looking ahead, my sights are set on college, where I’ll pursue a major in Nursing with the goal of becoming a certified nurse midwife. Reflecting on cherished memories, the Chorale Symposium and holiday concert stand out as moments where music transcended the ordinary. As I prepare to embark on this new chapter, I leave with these parting words: sing from your heart and soul, let music be a source of joy and peace, and never underestimate the power of a song to brighten someone’s day. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Kieffer and Ms. Meese for their warm welcome into the choir family and for making it feel like home.

From Chorale to Women’s Chorus, Concert Choir, and Freshman Mixed, my time in the choir has been nothing short of memorable. One standout moment was the accidental slap I delivered to Daniel Herttna onstage during my sophomore year – a hilarious mishap that still brings a smile to my face. Looking ahead, I’m excited to embark on my next chapter, attending Stark State College before transferring to The University of Akron to pursue Cardiac Sonography. As I prepare to say goodbye to high school, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Kieffer and Mrs. Meese for the countless memories they’ve created and all the support they’ve shown to us all.
