INTRO

This 2015 season is expected to be the most exciting. The Mondraker team has worked hard to release a more democratic, structured and complete collection than ever.

The hardtail range has been totally refreshed: the brand-new Phase, Neva and Chrono Carbon, the reengineered Finalist and Vantage, the exclusive and lighter Podium Carbon… Moreover, all bestselling bikes will be available in two different wheel sizes, 27´5” and 29er. The full suspension range has evolved to an unprecedented level. The Foxy Carbon, known as “The Bike”, is the best ever made by Mondraker. The Summum range premieres new frame and 27´5” wheels. Many improvements have been introduced to the Dune and the Foxy —recently won the “Trail Bike of the Year 2014” in the UK—, with the aim of supporting their current position as reference bikes. The new 29er Crafty is meant to cover from Trail to Enduro practices. The Factor has 27´5” wheels and 120mm travel this season; now it is much more capable, lighter and complete.

To sum up the highlights of the collection, the following features should be considered: a more evolved, well-developed, visually appealing work of graphic design; Zero suspension system is standardized on all full suspension bikes; and Forward Geometry is applied to all series as the greatest current innovation of the mountain bike.

This upcoming 2015 season is full of surprises. We think it can turn out just sensational.

2015 se présente comme la saison la plus excitante jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Cette année nous nous dépassons à nouveau pour offrir une gamme de vélo plus éclectique, mieux structurée et plus complète que jamais.

2015 wird als bisher spannendste Saison gehandelt. Dieses Jahr übertreffen wir uns selbst mit dem neuen, noch vielfältigeren, besser strukturierten und kompletteren Angebot an Mountain Bikes.

Une collection de vélos semi-rigides totalement renouvelée, des vélos inédits tels que les Phase, les Neva et les Chrono Carbon en passant par les Finalist et les Vantages jusqu’aux élitistes et plus légers Podium Carbon; en offrant tous les modèles à succès en versions spécifiques 27´5’’ et 29er.

La gamme de tout-suspendus a évolué pour atteindre un niveau sans précédent. Le Foxy Carbon ‘’The Bike’’ est le meilleur Mondraker jamais fabriqué. Les Summum étrennent un nouveau cadre et des roues en 27´5, le Dune et le Foxy qui a reçu le prestigieux prix ‘’Trail Bike of the Year 2014’’ au Royaume Uni, reçoivent des améliorations pour continuer d’être des référents, d’autre part le nouveau Crafty 29er englobe une utilisation entre Trail et Enduro. Le Factor rajeuni avec des roues en 27´5’’ et 120mm de débattement afin d’être plus efficace, plus complet et plus léger.

Foxy Carbon “The Bike” ist das beste Mondraker-Rad aller Zeiten. Bei den Summum gibt es einen neuen Rahmen und 27´5”-Räder, Dune und Foxy, das den renommierten Titel “Trail Bike of the Year 2014” in Großbritannien erhalten hat, wurden so verbessert, dass sie weiterhin unser Referenzprodukt sein werden, während das neue Crafty 29er eine vielfältige Nutzung vom Trail bis zum Enduro auszeichnet. Factor wird mit 27´5”-Rädern und einem Federweg von 120mm moderner, effizienter, kompletter und leichter gestaltet.

Cette année la Forward Geometry en est à sa troisième saison, elle s’étend à tous les modèles de tout-suspendus de notre gamme, ils bénéficieront d’un meilleur controle, d’une maniabilité accrue, de plus de sécurité et d’une grande stabilité dans les parties engagées. Forward Geometry offre de nouvelles sensations à toutes les disciplines, du Marathon à la Descente, après une courte période d’adaptation au pilotage du vélo le controle global s’accroit plus que ce que tu imagines. La nouvelle géométrie rend ta conduite plus stable, plus réactive et plus sure, elle t’offre la possibilité d’aller plus vite.

En 2015 les modèles Forward Geometry montent des potences FG30 en série et FG20-30 sur les Summum de Descente. Nous continuons d’offrir les versions FG10 et FG20 en option pour les cyclistes les plus habitués à la Forward Geometry et pour une utilisation plus engagée, pour ceux qui ont un profil plus Cross Country la FG50 est aussi disponible.

2015 werden die Modelle der Forward Geometry mit serienmäßigen FG30-Vorbauten und mit FG20-30 bei Summum Downhill ausgestattet.

• Security in steep areas The front axle is more advanced that in a conventional geometry making almost impossible to go over the bar in steep sections. It feels more secure and confident due to a slacker angle perception.

Da der Biker das Gefühl hat, ein Rad mit flacherem Lenkwinkel zu fahren, fühlt er sich sicherer und vertraut mehr auf seine Fahrleistungen.

It is the third season so far for Forward Geometry but this time it will be available in all fullsuspension bikes of the collection. The benefits on control, handling, safety and stability through difficult terrains are clear. Forward Geometry offers new sensations in any category from Marathon to Downhill; after a short period of adaptation to the handling of the bike, overall control improves more than expected. The new geometry makes riding more stable, reactive and confident, giving the rider the chance to go faster.

Bikes of the 2015 collection featuring Forward Geometry are equipped with standard FG30 stems and FG30-FG20 in the case of the Summum (Downhill). Versions with FG10 and FG20 stems are still available upon request for riders that are used to this geometry and a more extreme practice. A version with FG50 stem is also available for riders who prefer a cross-country use.

• Confidence at high speed The longer wheelbase makes the bike much more stable over any terrain.

• Direct steering The really short 10mm, 30mm or 50mm stems mean much less handlebar movement to get the same front wheel angle, thus improving steering precision and making the bike extremely reactive.

• Uphill precision The front wheel keeps the contact on the ground avoiding wheelies due the longer front-center length.

• Stability on rough sections The FG defends a new weight balance between front and rear wheels making possible to load the front wheel a lot more than with a classic geometry. This possibility changes your handling as it allows for more grip in cornering and better control.

Cette possibilité change ton pilotage donnant plus de grip en virage et augmentant le contrôle.

• Mehr Präzision im Uphill Das Vorderrad hält den Kontakt zum Boden und reduziert dank des längeren Hauptrahmendreiecks (Abstand zwischen Tretlager und Vorderradachse) die Gefahr von ungewollten Wheelies entscheidend.

• Mehr Stabilität in schwierigem, technischem Gelände Durch die Forward Geometry wird eine komplette Verlagerung des Schwerpunktes und der Gewichtsverteilung zwischen Hinter- und Vorderrad erreicht. Das Vorderrad hält so viel mehr Druck und Gewicht aus als bei einer klassischen Geometrie. Dieser Vorteil eröffnet ein sichereres Handling, einen höheren Grip in Kurven und eine stark verbesserte Bikekontrolle.

ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM

Zero is the name of Mondraker’s exclusive patented suspension system. This system is available in all Mondraker’s full suspension models.

This means travel, pedaling efficiency and overall performance have been improved for each discipline —from the extreme 27´5” Summum for DH competition to the successful and refreshed 27´5” Factor—.

The Zero System belongs to the so-called “Virtual Pivot” suspension systems. Special mechanics are involved in this type of suspension systems. The most relevant aspect of the Zero system if compared to other alternatives within this category is that the rear shock is floating between two links and is compressed from both ends. Depending on the optimization of the system and based on its usage, the lower plate compresses the rear shock an average of about 35% of its total length and the upper plate approximately 65%. The positioning of the rear shock together with the compression that the shock receives from both sides makes this system unique.

• Zero power loss. The system prevents any unwanted movements produced whilst pedalling.

The power applied to pedals is transformed in immediate forward move without causing extra compression or extension of the rear shock.

• Zero pedal kickback. Chain length growth throughout the suspension travel is insignificant, thus avoiding any backward movement of the crank set that could lead to poor pedalling efficiency or cadence.

• Zero brake jack. Rear brake forces do not alter the suspension system. The rear shock will absorb impacts without changing its function whilst using the rear brake..

• Zero bumps. The most remarkable features of the system are excellent absorption capacity and high pedalling efficiency. The assembly and operation of the rear triangle has been carefully studied to assure very effective impact absorption in the rear wheel.

Alle Doppelmodelle von Mondraker, vom modernisierten Extremrad Summum 27´5” für Abfahrtsrennen bis zum erfolgreichen neuen Factor 27´5”, haben das Prinzip des Hinterbausystems Zero gemeinsam, bei dem Federweg, Pedaleffizienz und globale Leistung für alle Kategorien vollkommen optimiert sind.

Le système Zero appartient à la catégorie de systèmes appelés systèmes à pivot virtuel à cause de sa configuration mécanique. Dans ce groupe, la différence primordiale de Zero réside dans le fait que l’amortisseur est flottant entre les deux biellettes qui articulent le système, d’autre part, ces biellettes compriment l’amortisseur de manière évidente par ses deux extrémités. Dépendant de la mise au point du système basée sur chaque pratique, la biellette inférieure comprime en moyenne 35% de la course totale de l’amortisseur alors que la biellette supérieur le comprime de 65%.

La position de l’amortisseur et sa compression des deux côtés sont les points qui rendent le système unique sur le marché.

Der Hauptunterschied zu bestehenden Systemen liegt beim Zero im schwimmend gelagerten Dämpfer zwischen den beiden Ablenkungen, die den Dämpfer an ihren Enden komprimieren. Das System wurde so optimiert, dass der Dämpfer an der unteren Ablenkung um durchschnittlich 35% und an der oberen Ablenkung um 65% komprimiert wird. Die Anordnung des Dämpfers und seine beidseitige Komprimierung machen unser System einzigartig auf dem Markt.

• Zero perte d’énergie. Le système neutralise tous les possibles va-et-vient induis par le pédalage, la force appliquée sur les pédales se traduit en poussée immédiate sans créer de mouvements non nécessaires de compression ou d’extension de l’amortisseur.

• Zero interférence avec le pédalage. L’élongation de la chaine est imperceptible sur tout le débattement, aucun étirement ou décroissance n’affecte l’obtention d’un pédalage rond.

• Zero interaction avec le freinage. La configuration du système n’étend ni ne comprime la suspension lorsque le frein arrière est actionné.

La suspension continue d’absorber sans changer de comportement face aux forces produites par l’étrier quel que soit le freinage.

• Zero trou. La principale caractéristique du système est son excellente capacité d’absorption unie à chaque instant à son efficacité de pédalage. La trajectoire de l’axe de roue arrière et son caractère linéaire font disparaitre tous types d’impacts.

• Null Interferenzen beim Pedalieren. Die Verlängerung der Kette ist minimal im Federweg, sodass das Pedalieren so effizient und effektiv wie möglich erfolgt.

• Null Bremsbeeinträchtigung. Beim Betätigen der Hinterradbremse funktioniert die hintere Aufhängung perfekt. Die beim Bremsen auftretenden Kräfte bleiben isoliert und die Wirksamkeit der Radaufhängung erhalten ohne Kompressionsoder Extensionsbewegungen.

• Null Schlaglöcher. Die herausragende Eigenschaft des Systems ist seine ausgezeichnete Absorption und optimale Pedaleffizienz. Der ausgearbeitete Verlauf der Hinterachse und der lineare Charakter schaffen eine Hinterradaufhängung, die alle Einschläge verschwinden lässt.

The Stealth Technology is the most advanced industrial design and structure optimization technology used in the Mondraker range. Stealth encompasses all processes involved in making the frame, such as getting the initial inspiration and creating the industrial design, developing the tubes or making engineering analysis of every single section to assure optimum performance.

Stealth offers a cutting-edge design which shows flat faces and sharp edges as opposed to the traditional curved or rounded shapes. Each tube and every specific part of the frame are carefully designed to carry out a specific function while striving to achieve the lowest possible weight.

Moreover, developing a frame involves optimizing processes, selecting the best materials, using butted tubing technology and fusing various alloys to obtain highest endurance and stiffness.

In Stealth technology version 2.0 the concept has evolved to a new level of features and finishings. The industrial design has been made even more dynamic to provide more fluidity and speed to each of the tubes, a lighter visual weight and a more attractive look. Tubing is torsionally stiffer because a 90° twist angle has been applied along the length of the flat faces and sharp edges of the original Stealth design. A special alloy fusion within the 6000 series is used in Stealth 2.0 to reduce thicknesses as much as possible. The result is a record braking ultra-light weight.

Stealth technology is available in the Duel, Vantage, Foxy, Dune and Summun series, while Stealth 2.0 is used in the renewed Factor 27´5” and the new 29er Crafty.

Stealth Carbon is the most advanced carbon fibre development and optimization technology in the Mondraker range. This new technology brings along all the previous experience gained in making aluminium frames, bearing in mind, however, that the same innovation, high quality, weight and endurance requirements have to be met.

Each part of the frame is designed to carry out a specific function with the lowest possible weight.

To do this it has been necessary to work hard on the specific positioning and direction of carbon plies for each bike type.

The new Foxy Carbon, Chrono Carbon and the renewed Podium Carbon are flagships of the Stealth C technology. Mondraker´s exclusive technology is certainly supported by a meticulous production process and the excellent results that using high quality carbon brings in terms of performance, stiffness, light weight and comfortable handling.

Les facettes plates et les arrêtes marquées, caractéristiques de la conception Stealth originale, se vrillent sur elles même en tournant à 90° afin d’augmenter la rigidité en torsion de toute la structure. Stealth 2.0 utilise un alliage d’aluminium exclusif de la série 6000 afin de réduire au maximum les épaisseurs variables et d’atteindre un poids record.

INTEGRATED STEM TECH

The built-in IST stem technology from Mondraker brings Cross Country to a new level. The 29er Podium Carbon has a XC Racing geometry that allows for a perfect pedaling posture, thus getting the highest performance and the most of our power. The built-in IST stem and its frame structure provide a more solid front section. As a result of this, the bikes feels stiffer and steering is a lot more precise if compared to a bike with classic geometry.

The genuine stem manufactured with Stealth carbon technology has an innovative design this season and a -17° angle. 64 grams have been cut to obtain a lighter frame which is able to compete in the World Cup. The patented integrated stem technology features a removable internal stop device that prevents possible structural damage caused by a fall and ensures the longevity of the steering system. The new integrated stem is available in three sizes –85, 100 and 115 mm– and is fully compatible with previous frames of Podium Carbon.

La technologie IST de Mondraker est un concept d’intégration qui élève la catégorie de Cross Country à un autre niveau. Les Podium Carbon 29er ont une géométrie XC Racing avec une position de pédalage optimale pour obtenir le meilleur rendement et la meilleure utilisation de nos forces. Sa conception avec une potence IST intégrée unie à la structure du cadre rendent la partie avant du vélo beaucoup plus solide et rigide pour une précision de conduite supérieure à une conception classique.

La potence exclusive fabriquée avec la technologie Stealth Carbon a en 2015 une conception innovante et un angle de -17°, d’autre part le poids a été abaissé de 64 grammes pour alléger encore plus le cadre à la hauteur de la coupe du monde. La technologie breveté de potence intégrée bénéficie d’un système interne de butée interchangeable qui évite les possibles dommages structurels provoqués par une chute et assure la longévité du système de direction. La nouvelle potence intégrée est disponible en trois longueurs, 85mm, 100mm et 115mm de long et est totalement compatible avec les versions antérieures du cadre Podium Carbon.

Der exklusive Vorbau aus Stealth-Carbon-Technologie erhält 2015 ein innovatives Design und einen 17°-Winkel. Außerdem konnten wir das Gewicht um 64gr senken und damit einen noch leichteren Rahmen auf Weltcup-Niveau entwickeln. Das patentierte IST-System hat ein internes, austauschbares Anschlagsystem, das eventuelle Schäden der Struktur, verursacht durch einen Sturz, vermeidet und die Lebensdauer des Lenksystems gewährleistet. Der neue IST-Vorbau ist in den drei Größen 85, 100 und 115 mm erhältlich und voll kompatibel mit früheren Versionen des Podium-Carbon-Rahmens.

Our international team MS Mondraker Team is taking part in the World Cup one more season and reaping awards riding the Summum, which has certainly become a leader in the international DH arena. This bike has been reengineered after much research and time. Numerous features make this Summun a reference in the “Formula One” discipline of the MTB, such as 27´5” wheels, further geometric updates, Zero suspension system or Forward Geometry.

A nouveau notre équipe internationale MS Mondraker Team engrangent les résultats sur la Coupe du Monde grâce au Summum qui continue d’être une référence sur le panorama de la descente au niveau international.

Des mois de développement ont permis d’aboutir sur un nouveau modèle, un nouveau Summum évoluant avec des roues en 27´5’’ qui reçoit des mises à jour au niveau de sa géométrie et de toutes ses caractéristiques, système Zero et Forward Geometry, pour être une année de plus la référence internationale dans la Formule 1 de la compétition en VTT.

Auch in dieser Saison hat unser internationales MS Mondraker Team wieder große Erfolge beim Weltcup erzielen können dank des Summum, unser Star-Bike auf internationalen Downhill-Parcours. Monate der Entwicklung haben schließlich ein neues Modell hervorgebracht, ein moderneres Summum mit 27´5-Zoll-Rädern. Verbesserungen der Geometrie sowie die Vorteile des Zero-Systems und der Forward Geometry machen aus dem Modell auch in dieser Saison wieder eine echte Referenz in der MTB-Formel 1.

The Dune is a complete bike for Enduro practice. In 2014 the Dune was released with a new frame, 27´5” wheels and new kinematics resulting in higher absorption and pedaling efficiency. Edgar Carballo was the winner in the Spanish Championship and Roger -“Speedy”- González in the Open of Spain, both riding the Dune. Results are overwhelming. Roger, Jacobo Santana and Matthias Stonig, current members of the MS Mondraker Team of DH, have recently had the opportunity to show the absolute potential of the Dune in the Enduro World Series.

Le Dune est le vélo Enduro total. En 2014 nous étrennions un Dune rénové avec un nouveau cadre, une nouvelle cinématique et une capacité supérieure d’absorption, une meilleure efficacité de pédalage avec des roues en 27´5’’. Cette saison il est Champion d’Espagne grâce à Edgar Carballo et 1er dans l’open d’Espagne avec Roger ‘’Speedy’’ González. Nous ne pouvions demander mieux.

Roger, Jacobo Santana et Matthias Stoning, sous la bannière de notre Team de descente MS Mondraker ont pris part aux Enduro World Series pour démontrer l’énorme potentiel du Dune.

Dune ist ein komplettes Enduro-Bike. 2014 können wir ein modernisiertes Dune mit neuem Rahmen, neuer Kinematik mit höherer Absorption und verbesserter Pedaleffizienz sowie 27´5’’-Rädern anbieten. In dieser Saison konnte Edgar Carballo mit diesem Modell den spanischen Meistertitel erringen, und unter Roger “Speedy” González belegte dieses Bike den 1. Platz im Open von Spanien. Mehr hätte man sich wirklich nicht wünschen können. Great news on this discipline are awaiting us this upcoming 2015 season. The Foxy Carbon is definitely the star product of the range and shows the ideal potential every bike should have. The Foxy series has received aesthetic improvements and enormous prestige after having won the Bike of the Year 2014 while the Vantage series has consolidated its leading position in the discipline of All Mountain Hardtail. The renewed Factor has a new frame with 120mm travel and 27´5” wheels. It is expected to be as successful as in previous seasons. The new 29er Crafty is a novelty in 2015. Its design is intended to become the most versatile model of an all-mountain bike and provide the rider with extreme power thanks to 29er wheels.

29er fans will be delighted to see the three bikes comprising the Crafty range.

The efforts that Mondraker has made on the high-end XC series this season are bigger than ever. The collection is aesthetically more attractive and better sorted out as it comprises three very different versions for each series. Improvements to the Podium range are remarkable: IST technology, an integrated and inverted lighter stem, and a new and lighter frame with more vertical absorption to make the most of it during the World Cup pre-race tests. The new Chrono Carbon, either in 27´5” or 29er wheel diameter, is amazing. Its exclusive Stealth Carbon frame offers the best performance at the most competitive price. As far as the Finalist series is concerned, it should be highlighted that their new aluminium frame is the high quality Xtralite Full Butted. Moreover, we will see a brand-new look, internal cable routing, and two wheel sizes 27´5” and 29er.

The Phase series is meant to achieve the same popularity that the Ventura and the Concept series have had for so many years among consumers willing to access their first Mondraker bike. As a result of the whole redesign and restructuring of the hardtail range this 2015 season, the Phase series comprises four bikes in 29er and another four in 27´5”. New frames, unique geometry, top components and graphic design are remarkable. Much inspired in the high-end series of the collection, their look is just in the line with the other series of the whole collection.

Après de nombreuses années où les Ventura et les Concept ont été une référence et ont permis à beaucoup de cyclistes de pouvoir accéder à leur premier Mondraker, les nouveaux Phase recueillent cette responsabilité et aspirent à devenir des superventes. Dans le redesign complet et la restructuration de la gamme semi-rigide pour cette saison 2015, les nouveaux Phase sont constitués de 4 modèles en 29er et de 4 modèles en 27´5’’ avec de nouveaux cadres et de nouvelles géométries exclusives, la meilleure sélection de composants et un design plus élaboré qui suit le style du reste de la collection avec une esthétique soignée jusqu’au plus petit détail et qui est inspirée par nos modèles les plus haut de gamme.

Die Modelle Ventura stellten jahrelang eine Referenz in der Bikerwelt dar, und zusammen mit dem Concept machten sie es vielen Benutzern möglich, an ihr erstes MondrakerBike zu kommen. Das neue Phase übernimmt nun diese Rolle und wird hoffentlich zum Verkaufsschlager. Im Rahmen der für 2015 vorgesehenen kompletten Neugestaltung und Umstrukturierung der Serien in starrer Ausführung umfassen die Phase-Bikes eine Serie mit 4 29er-Modellen und 4 27´5”-Modellen. Diese überzeugen durch exklusive neue Rahmen und Geometrien, hochwertige Bauteile und ein aufwändigeres Grafikdesign im Stil der übrigen Kollektion, sowie eine bis ins letzte Detail ausgearbeitete Ästhetik, die sich an unseren Top-Modellen orientiert.

Mondraker is aware that MTB is a plural sport in which the participation of women has become increasingly important. There’s plenty of women’s-specific detail which has gone into Mondraker´s GO (Girls Only) line.

The 2015 GO version includes a totally renewed Factor featuring full suspension system, Forward Geometry and 27´5” wheels to get lot of fun and the best mountain experience.

For ladies who are not willing to dare with full suspension, then the Neva series is the right choice. They are fully equipped hardtail bikes with front suspension, 27´5” wheels, a perfect look and “Girls Only” geometry. Ready to enjoy MTB with the right Mondraker bike and still feel fashionable and fit.

Le VTT est un sport mixte dans lequel la participation féminine est de plus en plus important. Chez Mondraker la tendance est claire et notre gamme GO (Girls Only) comprend des modèles exclusifs et spécifiques ‘’seulement pour elles’’. It was a must including this bike in the collection. In Mondraker we have kept an eye close to the trend of fatbikes —which have been a hit in the U.S.— and created one in the Mondraker style. The Panzer is a great example of fatbike that doesn´t compromise on features or components: Xtralite aluminum frame, Forward Geometry and the latest innovations, such as tapered headset, post-mount rear brake disc or internal cable routing in the front triangle.

This is a bike for fun. The spectacular 4.5” wide Kenda Juggernaut tires make the most of this amazing model. It certainly does not leave anyone indifferent.

Il fallait que nous le fassions. Chez Mondraker nous ne pouvions rester en marge de cette tendance de vélos à ‘’grosses roues’’ qui fait fureur aux Etats Unis et nous avons répondu avec la création d’un Fat Bike à notre style. Un cadre en aluminium Xtralite, Forward Geometry et les meilleures innovations de dernière génération avec la direction tapered, fixation de frein arrière post-mount et le passage interne de cables dans le triangle avant font du Panzer un vélo sans pareil. Un comportement super jouer et les pneus Kenda Juggernaut de 4.5’’ rendent le modèle si extraordinaire qu’il ne laissera personne indifférent.

Wir konnten nicht anders. Wir von Mondraker konnten uns einfach nicht diesem Trend der “breiten Räder” entziehen, der in den USA Furore macht, und haben ein Fat Bike in unserem Stil entwickelt. Panzer ist ein unübertroffenes Bike mit einem Rahmen aus Aluminium Xtralite, Forward Geometry und innovativen Details wie das konische (tapered) Steuerrohr, Postmount-Befestigung der hinteren Scheibenbremse oder eine innere Kabelführung im Frontdreieck. Ein Fahrverhalten für viel Spaß und spektakuläre Kenda Juggernaut 4.5”-Reifen runden das Gesamtbild dieses außergewöhnlichen Modell ab, das niemanden unberührt lässt.
