Data collected from this tree inventory will help the City of Loveland determine the overall health and management needs of their urban forest. The street tree inventory determined that the development of greater species diversity should be a primary focus for the City of Loveland’s consideration when allocating urban forest management resources. According to the inventory, three species make up 57% of Loveland’s street trees; Green ash (25%), Honeylocust (21%), Crabapple (11%). Additional land use and tree health data will also help the City of Loveland allocate resources in an effective and efficient manner.
