VERTI K AL DAYS 2023: FULLY LOADED!

Vertikal Days, the UK and Ireland’s largest lifting equipment and powered access show, returned for the third time to Peterborough’s East of England Showground on 10th and 11th May 2023. The specialist event for professionals who work at height, or use lifting equipment, gave an unobstructed and fully loaded display of the latest lifting equipment, attracting a record numbers of visitors and exhibitors this year.

On display was a variety of access platforms, cranes, telehandlers as well as associated lifting equipment for industry professionals to view.

This year’s event was supported by a large number of sponsors including Liebherr, who provided high quality sustainable show bags, Versalift who sponsored the Marketplace coffee cups, with TVH providing the drinking water. At the show entrance, IPAF sponsored the visitor badges and Point of Rental sponsored the lanyards.

First time exhibitor Infosystem made their debut and also sponsored the lunchtime BBQ while CTE was the sponsor of the Networking dinner. The forklifts for the free offloading and loading service during build-up and teardown was once again provided by Hi-Tec/Briggs.

Vertikal Days 2023 attracted the largest and most diverse collection of cranes, access platforms and telehandlers as well as a multitude of associated equipment and services. Manufacturers and service suppliers were represented across cranes and lifting equipment, access equipment, telescopic handlers, components and other equipment. Just some of the big names in the industry, that were reaching for the sky at the 2023 show included; Valla Manitex, GGR, Hird, Kobelco Cranes Europe, Liebherr, Kranlyft Group, SANY, UNIC, Terex, BRAVI Platforms, Bronto Skylift, International Platforms, JCB, Liugong Direct UK, Manitou, NiftyLift, Sinoboom, Snorkel UK, TVH UK, Faresin, Magni UK, Capja, CPA, Close Brothers, Hydraquip, Rent Pay Go, MCS, Hoistech, Uprate, Brian James Trailers, IPATH, Leoch Battery and many more!

JCB displayed an exciting range, with the new S3246 scissor lift on their stand alongside three new JCB electric powerpacks which were unveiled for the first time at this year’s event. The three new 400V three-phase units allow customers to reduce their dependence on diesel-powered generators when electrical demand is low. There was also the world debut of JCB’s new hybrid articulated boom, the A45 EH.

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) celebrated its 40th anniversary at this year’s event and invited visitors to take part in its safety campaign focusing on loading and unloading.

GGR Group showcased their latest innovations on Electric Avenue at the show,including several Unic Ucan spider cranes as well as the Faresin 6.26. Also on display was the new 17.45 and 6.26 Electric Telehandlers. The 17.45, is the largest in the range and part of the Faresin ‘Big Range Full Electric’ series. GGR seized the opportunity to host the UK launch of the 17m full electric telehandler at the show.

TVH UK had an expert team on hand providing visitors with a demonstration of its EnergicPlus battery regenerator, as well as a closer look at its high-quality crane mats and outrigger pads. Vertikal Days provided the ideal event for the UK launch of the Uplifter spider cranes and glass handlers as well as a fun ‘grab & win’ machine to keep visitors entertained.

The Hydraquip team certainly stood out among the exhibitors with the shiniest van at the show, thanks to their 24/7/365 Onsite Hose Repair Service.

Magni’s telescopic handler literally ‘reached for the skies’ with the RTH 6.35 Roto Telescopic Handler, offering a lift loads capacity up to a height of 35 m. It is equipped with scissor stabilisers to ensure greater safety and stability during working manoeuvres.

Kirkyby Tyres exhibited at Vertikal Days 2023 for the first time and showcased a selection of tyres on their stand, including the Airomax, Constar, HSS Road+ and RT747 tyres.

Italian team, CTE Lift, had an impressive display of aerial platforms at the show including the: MP 20 Ev full electric, MP 24 C, ZETA 22,TRACCESS 270 and Pianoplan Vertical.

There were many firsts at the show with exhibitors seizing the opportunity to launch and debut their machinery. We should also mention the debut of the 72ft Sinoboom AB22EJP, Dinolift’s new Dino 280RXTE all-electric boom lift, Emerson Crane Hire’s new 450 tonne Liebherr LTM 1450 8.1 as well as Niftylift’s worldwide launch of its new 86ft all electric ‘HR28 Battery’.

UpRate exhibited at this year’s show with their branded Tuk Tuk in tow, to spread the word about their summer launch. Their app connects thousands of operatives directly to hirers in the industry and promises to improve the recruitment process. Other exhibitors also making their Vertikal Days debut at the 2023 event included: Alp Lift, BBL Batteries, The Crosby Group, City Traffic Management Services, Dinolift, Dynamic Load Monitoring, Euro Auctions, Goman Lift, Gouweleeuw, Hydraquip, Infosystem, ITH Bolting Technology UK, Lifting Gear Products, LiuGong Machinery Europe, Nationwide Plant Solutions, Severn Sky Engineering, Spartan Solutions, STROS, Uplifter and UpRate Digital. First time exhibitor Hoistech also displayed their Ganterud L20-3 pro radio-controlled levelling/load tilting device.
