Objects From Home A Project by the Members of Art Factory
1
Objects from Home aims to create a metaphorical shared room, through participants artwork. Objects and home environments have become increasingly more important as they provide a sense of safety, a role normally filled by people. Every object in our home, significant or insignificant, is there for a reason. They may remind us of certain memories, as they preserve aspects of life. The artwork created in this book is the result of virtual workshops I ran with the Art factory class at Platform. The members of the class selected objects to draw and experiment with. Hopefully, as the book is viewed, we can bridge the gap of physical distancing and learn more about each other. Thanks to Margaret and Paul at Platform for giving me the opportunity and allowing me to work with Art Factory. Thank you to all the artists of Art Factory who inspired and made this project.
