After celebrating its landmark twenty-fifth anniversary, Edilfare Piscine has become the benchmark company in the planning and construction of swimming pools with a high design content. This gratifying achievement has been highlighted by the award of the Pool’s Specialist prize, an industry accolade based on criteria such as designs, innovative drive, corporate organisation and turnover. Edilfare was selected to receive this recognition for the seventh year running from among hundreds of Italian companies in the field. It’s been an exciting journey for Fabio Signorelli, the founder and owner of the Bergamo-based company. He’s had a special
affinity for water since he was a young boy, exploring ways of including it in architectural structures to make them more beautiful and enhance the feeling of well-being they generate. “I’ve always regarded swimming pools as features that can intensify the perception of beauty created by a building and instil serenity in the people who use them or simply look at them. When water is introduced into pools with precise construction characteristics you enter into an even more direct relationship with the user, maximising the beneficial, pacifying effect a pool can exert. Plays of water are a must and the benefit we offer is water treatment. We’re one of the few companies to do this in a totally natural way, with technology that makes use of ozone and UV light. We also use mineral salts, especially magnesium and potassium, that recreate the habitat found at hot spas. We make the water pure and neutral without the use of chemical agents”.
