In the space of just a few years this Italian company has become the go-to company in the world of bespoke and personalised swimming pools. Its founder, Fabio Signorelli, talks about his vision, the company’s latest projects and what being a pool consultant means by Marta Bernasconi

Specialising in using water to create architecture, Edilfare Piscine has also made a name for itself in this rather special sector with its characteristic style, emphasising timeless, linear shapes where the water is left free to flow, spill over and create marvellous scenarios that blend into the architecture and its natural setting.
This approach guides Edilfare Piscine’s founder and owner, Fabio Signorelli, who talks about strengths of a company founded twenty-five years ago. “The study of shapes is closely linked to the location, and its purpose is to highlight the dynamic nature of water, so our pools are characterised by blurred, indistinct edges and changes of level. Apart from reinforced concrete and steel we
focus on materials with a minimal aesthetic – wood and stone, for example, which offer the advantage of looking new even after years of use. We also use PMMA, which enables us to create glasseffect walls with a strong aesthetic impact”.
As well as design and construction, Edilfare Piscine also provides other exclusive services to enhance its offer and meet all client needs. “Anyone coming to us knows they can trust us through every stage, from design to consultancy to maintenance. For clients who decide to build a pool, the ability to go through a single, skilled intermediary who can support them from unrolling the first sketches to the completed build is a fantastic added value. as a one-stop service in the world of private, personalised swimming pools”. Demand for swimming pools is growing steadily in Italy and Fabio Signorelli has adapted his company’s structure, developing features that give it an exclusive appeal. “My professional identity is that of pool consultant, a highlyspecialised individual who can solve all the design and construction issues involved in building a pool. One of the exclusive services we offer is feng-shui consultancy, an Oriental discipline that aims to maximise well-being through the layout of the construction”. To complete the offer, from September, Edilfare Piscine’s showroom will feature an area dedicated to outdoor furnishings and accessories, enabling them to define the image and mood of relaxation and well-being zones. Fabio Signorelli reveals an important new development marking the company’s entry into the yachtbuilding world. “We’ve built a custom pool in glass and steel for a private model by Tankoa Yachts. Now another client has commissioned us for a 60-metre yacht. We’ve begun the design and delivery will take place before the end of the year”. Signorelli doesn’t conceal his satisfaction that the business is thriving in a field that in the beginning was only a daring throw of the dice – building high-end custom and bespoke swimming pools. edilfare.it
