With exteriors and interiors by Nauta Design and naval architecture by Zuccheri Design the new Pardo GT52 is a crossover between the Walkaround and Endurance types, perfect for owners who are lovers of the sail yacht world and are seeking contact with nature, large volumes and high performance
With a length of 16.58 metres and an almost 5 metre beam, the new Pardo GT52 offers solutions like the forward flush deck and softened profile that reflect the influence of sail yacht design
Boarding a new yacht with the person who desired and created it makes for a very special story. Not only does it explain clearer how much work went into it, it also let you realise how much love and passion is poured into a new model, reflected in the kind of attention to detail that ensures everything is of the very highest standard – and will work better, too. The ONE Yacht & Design attended the special Pardo Yachts event at Saint Tropez and sailed on the waters off La Citadelle with Gigi Servidati, Chairman of Cantiere del Pardo, the umbrella firm the brand is part of. His words clearly reveal his love for the new Pardo GT52, and watching him as we cut through the waves at 30 knots, monitoring how his new creation rode the waves, how it behaved during turns, appreciating – and criticising – the myriad design details of the Pardo GT52 that embody its beauty and function, there’s no doubt he is passionate about his new craft. “I’m
very satisfied with this yacht”, he told us once we were under way, as he observed and assessed the on-board spaces. “I enjoy taking in the details and analysing them, it’s how we improve our products. I like how the line turns constantly, as if the details were traced by a free-flowing pencil”. The exterior lines and interiors of the Pardo GT52 are by Nauta Design, with Zuccheri Design handling the naval architecture. The yacht’s proportions and profile combine its maritime character with its aesthetics and an emphasis on safety. The clean design promises a comfortable yet sporty ride. Solutions like the forward flush deck and the softened profile reflect the influence of sail yacht design, an area where the Cantiere del Pardo has extensive experience with its Grand Soleil range, also by Nauta design. “That’s also one of the reasons behind its success – it appeals to sail yacht aficionados, too”, says Servidati. With a length of 16.58 metres and an almost 5 metre beam, this model is a crossover between the Walkaround and Endurance types, designed to attract owners seeking spacious volumes without comprising on performance. Spatial interconnection is one the design highlights –the interiors and exteriors are closely linked. The aft side windows lift upwards, the stern door opens fully and the roof can be opened in semiopen style. The cockpit is laid out with a dining area that transforms into an extended sun lounger zone. There are also two side seats facing aft, enabling passengers to enjoy the view when sailing at speed while remaining sheltered from wind and spray.
Two fridges are handily located beneath the aft sun lounger, which transforms into a dinette.
On the main deck, beyond the helm station, is a lounge flooded by natural light. Two layouts are available here, galley up or galley down, two solutions that radically alter the perception of space. “It’s exciting to imagine life on board the Pardo GT52”, says Massimo Gino of Nauta Design. “One solution offers a large kitchen close to guests in the cockpit
and with a large relaxation area and TV on the lower deck, while the other features a professional-standard kitchen and generous dinette lounge on the main deck”. Whichever solution is chosen, comfort and on-board life are maximised, but the most striking feature is how skilfully the spaces are exploited, a design aspect clearly expressed, for example, in the owner’s cabin forward, where the bed is set obliquely against the bulwark to make best use of available space. Guests are accommodated in a cabin with twin beds, with a cabin aft, accessed from the living area, for crew. Last but not least, the GT 52’s engine room is ready to receive the Volvo hybrid engine upgrade, a solution that will provide enhanced performance with the smallest possible impact on the marine environment. Fourteen units have been sold in just a few months, and production will be keeping the yard busy through to 2024. It’s already a success!

Below the two galley layout versions, Galley Up and Galley Down. Galley down is the choice of owners seeking a well-equipped on-board kitchen, while the Galley Up arrangement (American-style, photo below) enables a more relaxed use and opens out another lower deck space (below) for a relaxation lounge or an extra cabin. The interiors can, of course, personalised in the owner’s desired colours and finishes. A top-drawer première for the latest model from Pardo Yachts, with sea trials, on-board visits with the Cantiere del Pardo team and an evening at the exclusive Hotel de Paris

The Cantiere del Pardo chose Saint-Tropez as the setting for an exclusive event marking the international debut of its new Pardo GT52 motor yacht. The Côte d’Azur is one of the Mediterranean’s most welcoming and exclusive locations, a perfect match for the Pardo Yachts philosophy of elegance and excellence. Three days entirely devoted to exploring the new yacht, involving journalists from international titles including The ONE Yacht and Design, global dealers, partners like Volvo, Garmin and Falconeri plus a select clientele. A packed roster of events with sea trials for the media on the stretch of water off the Cittadelle. The event was rounded off by an evening with welcoming drink and rooftop dinner at the
exclusive Hotel de Paris. The event also offered an excellent opportunity to take a look at the location of the new VanDutch Center Saint-Tropez. This, together with the VanDutch Center Lake Garda at Moniga del Garda, is joined in the summer months by facilities in Miami (USA) and the Balearic Islands (Spain). They are all private clubs where owners of VanDutch craft can enjoy exclusive services and access dedicated assistance. We should point out that VanDutch was bought out by Cantiere del Pardo in 2020 and that VanDutch, Grand Soleil and Pardo define the excellence provided by the Forlì-based brand, internationally known for producing craft shaped by high-end design and manufacture.
