JIGSAW PUZZLES OBTAINING A LIBRARY CARD
Although the library is solely supported by the City of Temple, as a courtesy, anyone residing within Texas can obtain a free library card by providing a picture I.D. Parents must apply for children under 16. There is a $2 charge to replace a lost library card. You may start the process of obtaining a library card by filling out the online application, found on the library website under OBR.
NEW USERS
When a patron gets his/her first card from the Temple Public Library he/she will be considered a New Patron for the first week. New Patrons are limited to four items and may not check out DVDs. After a week, if all items have been returned, a New Patron will be changed to a Regular Patron type and will have full library privileges. New Patrons are not able to renew checked out items until they have been changed to a Regular Patron type. After 7 days, New Patrons must contact the Circulation Desk in person or by phone to request change of their patron type from New Patron to Regular Patron. Once that change is made by library staff, these patrons may renew items that were checked out during their New Patron week and begin enjoying full library privileges.
OUTREACH PROGRAM
