Welcome to PlayMakers'
22/23 Season
We all need more wonder in our lives, and our new season is just the ticket! I am thrilled to return to six Mainstage productions in the magnificent Paul Green Theatre. Our season takes us to the Harlem Renaissance, a usurper King’s court in Denmark, a neighborhood backyard battleground, a queen’s playground in Florida, a meddlesome matchmaker’s British drawing room, and a journey of creative self-discovery in the South.
"One of America’s leading theatre companies" American Theatre Magazine
We also will offer some opportunities to be a part of our @PLAY new works program, with workshops and play readings of exciting work in development, including new play commissions. Being a subscriber is the best way to guarantee access to these events. As always, returning subscribers will have early access to renew their seats or purchase new season tickets, through May 2022. If you need a bit of flexibility right now, this season we are launching the PlayMakers Flex Pass in June. It will give you the flexibility of seeing more shows or inviting different guests to experience the magic of live theatre. I can’t wait to gather with you again in my very favorite place—the theatre! Warmly, Producing Artistic Director Subscriptions start at just $120. Single tickets start at just $20.
PlayMakers Repertory Company has been the professional theatre in residence at UNC-Chapel Hill for more than 45 years. An attorney on the rise and his very pregnant wife couldn’t feel more welcomed by their new neighbors.
