When divinity meets humanity, the polarizing presence of Jesus is our response to the sacred sacrifice of His Life We set the aperture of our lens, to define how much of His light breaks into our darkness. The angle of that causes distortion, and the lens we use lets certain colours through.
May we allow His sacrifice to provide the light, the lens, and the angle of His Truth as it enters our hearts. May we not settle for an obscured understanding and visage, of who He is for us, and who He can be in us, and through us

As I learn about lands and peoples, I unlearn models of power that put lives in jeopardy. This artwork reminds me of the story of those I have met.

Name courtesy of a conversation with Patricia Dewit
This work has no north, south, east, or west. It is a circle with no dominant orientation. As we move on from here, from the place where we have advantaged ourselves one overanother, may we shift to one witheach other.
For me, unlearning has been about recollecting understanding, reflection, and reminding my ‘self’ that I can become a different soul. I can be remembered into community in a new way.
I want to be part of a table of remembering wherein each one lays themselves beside another, and collectively, we create a place of abiding where the absence of one part of that assemblage would be a loss to the collective work of humanity.
Yes, it truly is 80”x59”

There are multitudes of people who care for and nurture the gifts that we are to others. For some, I am a part of the vessel that supports the glory of God in their lives; many times, I am the one being supported, nurtured, and released to be a blessing to others.
This vessel represents the humble nature of the fibre of our lives woven together and pressed into service.
The common recyclable packaging for coffee makers or vacuums is repurposed here. Reconfigured as a vessel of honour coated in art and business ash within grey encaustic and covered with the fragrance of beauty found within beeswax, on the interior

Created from two crossed forms of recycled fibre. This bowl expresses the intersection of Divinity and humanity, as mercy pours forth in our lives through the cross of Jesus Christ.
I hope I remember His mercy toward me when challenges present themselves.
To extend mercy, love, and life in all I do and say Irregular shape approx. 24”x24” for hanging on the wall or as a table feature.

The Sombrio beach trail is a sacred space. I was privileged to walk this land, dip into the ocean, and start our journey back home.
This painting shows a guardian of the land looking upward for direction to steward the land well.
May we do likewise for the lands we sit and work upon.
CA$1,900.00 | Now $1,300
People can lay hands on us, which puts us in pits, prisons, or palaces, and yet those hands do not define us.
Other people's authority around our lives may limit us. It may delay the dreams God gives us for humanity and His heart. Yet Joseph, in the older testament never gave up on those dreams.
Whoever we are, whatever our background, our history. Whether we are young, or old, we may have different abilities. Whoever we are, we are responsible to seek out and come to know the dreams of God’s heart for us and others. That we will be free to enjoy the beauty of life whether we are in a pit, a prison, or a palace.

I often speak words of blessing over regions where I am painting. In this case, I awoke the week after easter to hear the news of people being arrested for having held house church meetings the weekend before, and people that day were being arrested for beliefs in democracy. I wept in silence, creating an abstract view of the Hong Kong Harbour online live that morning.
People remarked that there was no sound – and I shared that I had no words – sometimes I can only paint my heart because there is only a visual voice to express your heart.

Messengers come in the form of people. They are all shapes and sizes. They care for our needs and assist us in the journey of life.
48” 16”– Gold Leaf and Community Gifts of Acrylic on Canvas
$1,800 | Now $600
Created ‘live’ at the release of the HopeSeeds– by Bev Foster.
As I created, the title track of this musical production resonated with my story.
“The story of glory and love…about healing and forgiveness”.
This gold panel represents our lives gathered together in community. Individually, one 3 3/8’s square reflects a small amount of light and gilding – yet when we align ourselves collectively, we fit together as one and create a panel of gold that reflects the light of the Creator in spectacular ways. Every person in attendance that day was given a feather and asked to leave a mark
In the colour they bring to the community.

3 acrylic canvasses - 28``x28`` overall in three irregular panels
As I created the image on the left, I could feel the fire spreading off my canvas. I grabbed another canvas and held it with my left hand, capturing the fire as it moved. Then I saw it rising, and I pulled another canvass into play. This time, I had to mix more paint, and I was concerned that I could not replicate the colours. Yet as I worked – my right hand painting the canvas, and my left hand holding the canvas in place, As the live event I was painting at came to a close, a woman stood on the platform and released a spontaneous poem.
It was mesmerizing. Her last line in the poem? Surrender to the Flame.

Sometimes, I hear the sound of instruments, in colour and image. The sound of what I saw was found in this violinist's touch on the instrument.
