Houseplants to get if you're really bad at keeping plants alive — pt. II

Chelsea Pentland Yr 11

1. Philodendrons (Philodendron) These are really nice plants with heartshaped leaves, and there ' s so many different varieties. They will climb up anything, making them really cool room decor. As long as you don 't overwater them, they 'll just keep growing up and up (or down if you have hanging pots!)

2. Snake plant (Dracaena trifasciata) I only got this one recently, but it' s growing well, even in low light. Snake plants are great for purifying air and look great on desks (and can also grow up to several feet tall).

Last year in lockdown, I spent my time baking, walking and looking after my growing collection of houseplants, and I also wrote an article about the best houseplants to buy. Three lockdowns (and a lot of online shopping) later, I have many more plants and many more thoughts about which plants are best, so here we are.

Firstly, it has to be said that I am not an expert at keeping plants alive—I' ve wasted quite a bit of money on Bunnings plants that die immediately. So, these are a few more plants that I' ve managed to keep alive all of this time. 3.Golden pothos (Epipremnum aureum) These are such great plants to get! They ' re so easy to keep and look really cool—you can grow them up bookshelves, in hanging pots or even up walls.

Now is a great time to online order more plants as a coping mechanism!! 10/10 would recommend.
