Requirements.-To obtain a third grade certificate in this state. the applicant must pass an examination in reading, grammar, penman ship and punctuation, history of the United States, geography, arith Uletic, orthography, and Washington State Manual. Appllcants for a second grade certificate must have credits in the same suhjects as for a third grade certificate, and must also take an examination In music. To obtain a first grade eertificate, applicants must have taught at least nine months, and must have credits in the same suhjects as for a seeond grade eertificate, and also in physics, English literature, alge
bra, and physieal geography.
Graduation.-To graduate from this course, a student must pass �t state examination in all the
