Season’s Greetings from Napa Valley I am reminded each year as we approach the holidays of the things that matter most to me – time with my family and friends, and of course, drinking great wine! Despite the rush that leads up to the holidays, I am always grateful for the much-needed downtime that it brings. In the world of wine sales, our team starts planning for our annual holiday catalog in the Spring, so when it’s finally time to review the finished product, I am always proud and excited for all who made it happen. I am equally excited to share it with all of you as I know the contents will lead to some perfect gifts for the wine enthusiasts in your life. I hope you enjoy our 2019 “Oh What Fun” holiday catalog featuring fine wines from all four properties: PlumpJack Estate, CADE Estate, Odette Estate, and an exclusive wine from our newest winery, 13th Vineyard by CADE Estate. Lastly, I want to bring to your attention our stellar team of Assistant and Associate winemakers who contribute so much in our winemaking process. Oftentimes, the winemakers receive much of the accolades and media attention, so we felt it was a great opportunity to share the spotlight in this year’s catalog. From our team at Odette to Assistant Winemaker at PlumpJack, meet Cortney Zolezzi. Cortney grew up surrounded by cherry, peach and walnut orchards in the small farming town of Linden, CA. Cortney attended Fresno State with great ambitions of becoming a pharmacist, but as a freshman she toured the winery facility at Fresno State and simply fell in love. It was the perfect combination of her two passions: agriculture and the very next day. She’s worked Harvest in New Zealand and was an integral part of the teams at Lynmar and Odette prior to coming to PlumpJack. We are lucky to have her passion and experience to help guide our production crew here on our quaint Estate in Oakville!

13th Vineyard by CADE is the newest property in the PlumpJack portfolio, but is one of the oldest wineries in the Napa Valley. Its name is derived from its place in history as the 13th bonded winery in the Napa Valley, originally established in 1886! Here, on the grounds of this extraordinary Estate, guests enjoy library selections of our wines pulled from deep within the CADE cellars, and gain access to vintages that have not seen the light of day in some time. This experience is ideal for the connoisseur, or visitors looking to add some vintage wines to their collection. Library tasting experiences are offered on our garden terrace adjacent to our historic stone winery and within our Library, nestled deep within our wine caves. meet brett ASSOCIATE WINE MA K ER , CADE E STATE WINE RY & 13TH VI N EYA R D B Y C AD E
CADE Estate’s Associate Winemaker, Brett Brockmeyer, has been a vital member of the PlumpJack family since his firstharvestwiththecompanyin208.
Enologist in 201, and Assistant Winemaker in 201. Brett is now Associate Winemaker at CADE and the new 13th Vineyard by CADE Estate.
Originally on track to study engineering, Brett fell in love While at UC Davis, Brett also had the opportunity to intern with wine and winemaking. To Brett winemaking, “just during the 207 harvest for Clos Pepe Estate in the Sta. seemed right.” After graduating from UC Davis, Brett beganRita Hills of Santa Barbara and in 205 for a vineyard as a harvest intern at CADE Estate, after which he was management company here in Napa. These experiences ouered a full-time position in the cellar at PlumpJack have allowed Brett to develop a broad knowledge of the Winery. From there, Brett quickly moved up the ranks at winemakingprocessfromvinetobottle. PlumpJack and was promoted to Cellar Master in 201,

Tyler is our Assistant Winemaker at CADE Estate on Howell Mountain. He graduated from Cal Poly in 2012 and originally had no intention of becoming a winemaker, but after studying Agriculture Business he felt his studies were not providing a creative outlet. While exploring alternative majors, Tyler found the rapidly growing Wine & Viticulture Program.
After graduating in 201, Tyler spent the next year traveling the world gaining experience in both the northern and southern hemispheres. He got his first experience with the super-premium winemaking of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc as a Harvest Intern at Vineyard 29. Furthering his winemaking education, he moved to Australia in 2013 to experience two sparkling Growing up in the Moraga, CA, he has always been in wineharvests.Throughalltheseexperiences,Tylerpracticed close proximity to the wine country. For Odette Assistant Winemaker, Andrew Haugen, wasn’t properly introduced to wine until a chance viewing of the movie Sideways while attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After completing his degree, his career took him all over the world from Alexander Valley and Dry Creek to Hawkes Bay, Willamette Valley, Margaret River, and now right here in Stags Leap from day one at Odette. We are thrilled to have Andrew’s skills, sense of humor, and enthusiasm at the winery. When not making or drinking wine, Andrew plays softball, tennis, reads fantasy novels, and eats burritos.
