(IIO) of B.C. is reviewing all the evidence in an accident that happened just east of 216th Street on Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge just after midnight Friday. A 17-year-old young man was struck and sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital, and as of Monday morning he was in stable condition, reported IIO spokesperson Owen Court. Two officers, in separate cruisers, were eastbound on the highway when they encountered the young man in the roadway at about 12:30 Saturday morning, Court explained.
