When the new wing of Guildford Town Centre opens this summer, new stores will include LEGO, H&M and Forever 21. Up to 75 tenants will move into a new 200,000-square-foot section of the mall in time for its Aug. 28 grand-opening date. The “phase two” redevelopment of the south end of the shopping centre began in June 2010, in the former parking lot near Walmart. When all reconstruction work is done by the fall of 2014, the mall will be 1.2 million square feet in size, said Petra Barker, public relations manager with Guildford Town Centre.
