Directions for the Thu Thiem Tunnel’s traffic

At Pho Duc Chinh Street in District 1, you can turn left onto East-West Boulevard to access the tunnel door. The new Thu Thiem route will lead to the Cat Lai intersection and directly connect to the Hanoi highway when approaching District 1 through the tunnel.

From District 2, you can proceed straight to Mai Chi Tho Street, where Thu Thiem tunnel is located at the end of the street. When passing through the Thu Thiem underpass, don’t forget to turn on the light.

Vehicles passing through the Thu Thiem tunnel on the left will proceed through Binh Thanh District or onto Luong Dinh Cua Street in order to reach the Thu Thiem Bridge. Interprovincial Road 25B is where vehicles turning right will travel in order to reach Cat Lai Port and Phu My Bridge.

From Thu Duc or District 9, you can turn left at the Cat Lai intersection to enter the new Thu Thiem route, which will take you to the city center via the Thu Thiem tunnel. You can head directly into District 1’s center through the Thu Thiem tunnel. If you travel in the Cat Lai Port and Nguyen Thi Dinh Street direction, you can turn left, proceed straight through the tunnel, and continue straight to the district’s center.

Thu Thiem Peninsula and Ho Chi Minh City’s downtown are connected by the Thu Thiem Tunnel. While the 737 ha Thu Thiem peninsula has an ideal landscape, the economy used to lag behind and the population was small. As a result, a tunnel was built to link the peninsula to the city center and advance the economy. It would be ideal to turn the peninsula into a major city with financial and trade hubs on a global scale, first-rate retail establishments, and modern living quarters.
