STYLE Chabana

Chabana is a style that is closest to Zen philosophy, very simple and non-restrictive. In sharp contrast to the Rikka style, Chabana emerges as a liberal style of Ikebana flower arrangement. This is a simple style with just flowers and vases. The whole idea is to emphasize the natural beauty of the flower. Consisting of one or two flowers or twigs in a vase or small pot, the Chabana style became the basis of a no-takes style known as Nageire.

Chabana style uses a tall vase with very few materials. Simple, light-colored flowers are considered appropriate. This style uses subtle techniques to create a simple yet poetic natural beauty. The characteristic of Chabana style is that the flowers are not placed vertically, but placed in a vase in a very natural way. Therefore, the flowerpot must be tall, have a small mouth. Chabana style can be used in the rooms as an indispensable accessory.
