Senate slams N4bn First Ladies House
By Ikechukwu Okaforadi
T
he Senate yesterday condemned a proposal by the Federal Capital Territory Administration to spend N4 billion for the construction of “First Ladies Mission House” in Abuja. The senators argued that the project is not recognized by the nation’s Constitution even as the Senate President, David Mark, lashed out at the FCT Administration for not getting its priorities right, explaining that “the FCT brings to the fore issues that should be de-emphasized.” Mark also decried what he described as lack of proper plan in initiation and execution of projects in the FCT and urged the authority to complete all ongoing projects before embarking on new ones, “so that they will be relevant to the people.” Contd on Page 2
