Constitution’ll decide my fate - Jonathan By Agaju Madugba

I

n a veiled reference to the wave of criticisms over his alleged plan to contest the 2015 presidential election, President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday said that he does not intend to stay in office forever. Jonathan described as unnecessary, the current bickering over tenure duration of the various elective positions as, according to him, the Constitution has clearly defined the maximum period anybody can hold an office. “Even if the Constitution does not state the maximum term, no individual can stay in office for life,” Jonathan said yesterday during the dedication of the All Saints’ Anglican Church, built by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, for his community, Mpu, in Aninnri local government area of Enugu state. nidentified gunmen at the weekend attacked Attakar community of Mafang and Zilang village in Kaura local government area of

Bomb scare in Abuja Kaduna state, killing a total of 19 persons with about 10 others sustaining various degrees of injuries. The attackers were said to

have invaded the two communities at about 3am on Sunday, fired indiscriminately at the people and set some of the houses ablaze.

And in Abuja, suspected bomb explosion yesterday rocked the satellite town of Karu in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) shattering the glass windows of major shopping complexes in the area. Reports indicate that most of
