North ‘ll take 20 years to recover from Boko Haram - Abdulsalami From Agaju Madugba, Kaduna

ormer Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, has reviewed the socioeconomic implications of the current security challenges in the North regretting that it will take
the region some 20 years to recover from the damage. Abdulsalami spoke yesterday in Kaduna when he chaired a session at the Arewa Houseorganized conference on strategies for sustainable development in the north.
According to him, unity has taken flight from the North arguing that the development gave rise to the conference, aimed at what Abdulsalami described as cleaning up the mess. “Certainly if there is unity we wouldn’t be here at this
conference, so since there is no unity, that is why the Arewa House is trying to galvanize it at this conference “It will take 20 years to revive the North because a lot of socioeconomic damage has been done. “If you go round the areas, that

he official residence of the Vice President will gulp a total of N14 billion as the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) is now demanding for a fresh N7 billion for the completion of the palatial building in addition to the N7 billion that has already been spent on the structure. The FCDA initially requested for additional N9 billion which would have brought the total cost to N16 billion but was slashed to N7 billion by the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP).
